2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Andersson! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva clinches. Andersson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.
Andersson fails to pull guard.
Andersson decides to pull guard. Andersson is trying to control the position but Silva postures up. Andersson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Andersson wants to sweep but no luck. Andersson keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass. Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Andersson has wrist control. Andersson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva stands up from Andersson's guard - Silva perhaps looking for a knockout. Andersson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Andersson wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Andersson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Silva wants to get back to his feet.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Andersson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Andersson lands strikes from half guard. Andersson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Andersson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silva defending well though. Andersson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Silva is breathing heavily. Andersson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Silva is looking to control Andersson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted? Andersson wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andersson uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva. Andersson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
Andersson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Andersson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Silva has given up his back here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andersson working for the choke. Silva tries to escape the position.
Andersson cracks Silva with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Silva from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Andersson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silva defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva is trying to break free.

Andersson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Andersson is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Andersson lands strikes from half guard.

Rodrigo Batalha Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A slow jab from Andersson misses its intended target. Silva closes the distance but Andersson moves to the side and Andersson counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that. Andersson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Andersson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andersson controlling from the top position. Silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Andersson escapes and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control! Andersson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well. Andersson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Silva is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ek kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Pixies - Tame. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Perfect Plex! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plex avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ek shoots in for a takedown but Plex shows good takedown defense. Ek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plex's waist but Plex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ek off to one side. Ek fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarmo Ek. That's going to take a lot out of him. Plex clinches. Plex lands an elbow just above Ek 's eye.
It looks like Jarmo Ek has been cut. Plex tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Plex throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ek blocks it with crossed arms. Plex lands an elbow that stopped Ek in his tracks for a moment. That landed flush. Ek takes an elbow to the forehead. Plex tries to land a knee to the head but Ek blocks with his arms.

Ek is rocked! Ek has Plex pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Plex manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Oh Ek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ek wants a takedown but no success here.
Plex lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Plex lands a damaging elbow. Plex pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Ek! Plex unloads with more strikes and Ek sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sting misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hagger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sting gets caught flat footed, as Hagger shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hagger wants to pass the guard but Sting is keeping the position. Hagger looking to sit in guard and control but Sting gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hagger controls Sting momentarily but Sting frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sting would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hagger controlling Sting's posture.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hagger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Sting kicks Hagger off and gets back to his feet. Sting tries to clinch up but Hagger circles away and keeps his distance. Sting tries to clinch up. Hagger closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hagger lands in his opponent's guard. Hagger passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hagger is keen to just control but Sting is a slippery customer. Hagger not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hagger prevents Sting from standing back up.

Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hagger has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Zangief Hagger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hagger postures up in Sting's guard and throws a big left but Sting blocks it. Sting looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hagger looking to pass the guard. Haggeris looking to pass into half guard but Sting pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sting is in guard. Sting wants to get up but he can't break Hagger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hagger looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Sting looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sting looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sting! Hagger is trying to control Sting's posture but Sting avoids it. Sting tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hagger gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hagger looking for submissions off his back. Scorpion Sting has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sting blocks the strikes from Hagger.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hagger is trying to get back to full guard. Hagger trying to hold on to Sting's head to control him but Sting postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Zangief Hagger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hagger winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macullah takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Macullah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Macullah won't let Johnson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Macullah wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely. Johnson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Johnson is trying to stand up. Johnson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Macullah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson looks gassed! Macullah lands a big shot there that rocks Johnson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
It looks like Dwayne Johnson has been cut. Macullah looking to secure an arm triangle but Johnson defends it well. Macullah scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Johnson?
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macullah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macullah is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Johnson is forced to tap! Great finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Webb shoots for a double leg takedown but Maxwell sprawls well. He's pushed Webb's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Maxwell cracks Webb with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Webb falls to his knees and Maxwell doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ted Chips has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silverson connects with a nice short shot to Callahan Jr's temple. That's four minutes gone in the round. Floyd sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bartman's guard. Floyd prevents Bartman from improving his position. Bartman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Floyd scores with a couple of nice shots. Floyd winds up and cracks Bartman with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Floyd seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Floyd thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bartman's head. Bartman wants to improve his position but Floyd is controlling well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Floyd moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A nice combination there by Floyd.
Steve Bartman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Floyd throws a series of punches but Bartman moves out of range. Bartman gets caught flat footed, as Floyd shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Floyd advances to half guard.
