Rodrigues had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Persson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rodrigues Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Persson's back instead.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Rodrigues's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Rodrigues is working for a rear naked choke. Persson is not defending it well and Rodrigues has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Persson refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Persson's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaCrosse feints and then cracks Cheliouze's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cheliouze down.
LaCrosse sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Cheliouze to the ground! LaCrosse dives into full mount looking to finish!

Cheliouze is rocked!
LaCrosse controlling the pace for now.
Cheliouze is still in real trouble! Can LaCrosse finish him?

LaCrosse gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Cheliouze tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Cheliouze seems to have recovered his senses.
