The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis tries for a takedown but Ron sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ellis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Ellis tries to clinch up but Ron circles away and keeps his distance. Ellis closes the distance and clinches up with Ron, looking for a takedown. Ellis pushes Ron against the cage but Ron circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salcedo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Salcedo wants to get back to his feet but Stevens is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stevens has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grayson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kahric as he jumps to the side. Kahric moves out of range of the body kick from Grayson.

Grayson keeping full guard, as Kahric tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hughes wants to pass to mount but Diaz is defending the position. Hughes uses his free foot to push down on Diaz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Diaz. Diaz is just holding on here. Hughes manages to take his back.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hughes's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
