The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Pope or perhaps it was just good defense by Mac Mathuna which made him look bad. Mac Mathuna could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pope tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mac Mathuna paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mac Mathuna moves into range and clinches up with Pope. Mac Mathuna misses with a knee strike.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Costa misses with a jab, cross combination.
De Costa thows a body shot but no joy. De Costa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
De Costa looks to land a left hand but Cong moved out of range nicely. A big right from De Costa misses. De Costa throws a series of punches but Cong moves out of range. De Costa gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cong lands with a left to the head. De Costa is looking to break free of the clinch but Cong has double underhooks. De Costa tries to score a body lock takedown but Cong shows good agility there to stay on his feet. De Costa lands a hook to the side of the head. Cong lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Razor De Costa has been cut. A short uppercut from Cong. Cong wants a takedown.
A shot in the inside from Cong. De Costa blocks a body shot from Cong. De Costa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cong gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A nice left hand lands by Cong.
De Costa is rocked! De Costa looks gassed! Cong creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends De Costa's eyes rolling into the back of his head! De Costa drops to his knees and Cong pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cowell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cowell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mostich knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mostich tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cowell advances to mount. Cowell is in the full mount, landing strikes. Cowell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mostich is looking to escape. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cowell manages to capitalize on a mistake by Mostich to take his back! Mostich is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Cowell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cowell gets his hands free as Mostich looks to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mostich can do anything to dispel that myth. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mostich is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cowell wants to control the pace but Mostich is squirming around nicely. Mostich throwing hammer fists to the chest of Cowell. What's that going to do exactly? Mostich gets back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Mostich has managed to free his arm - good work. Mostich wants to improve his position but Cowell is controlling well.

Cowell prevents Mostich from improving his position. Mostich has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cowell is working away from the top position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mostich doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cowell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mostich looks gassed! Mostich flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mostich is pressing down on Cowell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cowell drops back looking for a leg! Mostich is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mostich manages to kick Cowell off! Cowell jumps back into Mostich's guard. Mostich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cowell manages to get himself to full guard.
Cowell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mostich is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cowell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mostich's back instead. Cowell tries to get the hooks in deep but Mostich pushed the leg off. Mostich turns into Cowell and is now in his guard.
Mostich keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cowell's head. Mostich scoring with some ground and pound. Mostich advances position into side control! Mostich cracks Cowell with a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cowell tries to bench press Mostich off him but Mostich keeps the position. Cowell taking a bit of punishment here - Mostich scoring with strikes. Cowell is trying to control Mostich's posture but Mostich avoids it. Mostich cracks Cowell with a big right hand but Cowell just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Pus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fighter to the mat! Fighter manages to get full guard. Pus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pus wants to control from the top but Fighter keeps moving. Fighter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pus is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Pus avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Pus wants to stand but Fighter is controlling his arm. Fighter is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Fighter wants to get back to full guard.

Pus winds up and cracks Fighter with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pus throwing shots but Fighter is blocking nicely. Pus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground. Fighter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fighter. Fighter looks gassed! Pus stays in close to Fighter's body and controls the position. Pus is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fighter has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pus is looking to defend but Fighter has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pus! Fighter pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pus taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobles uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Howatt. Bobles shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Howatt as he avoids it easily. Howatt missing with a left hand there. Bobles was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Howatt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bobles. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bobles. Howatt misses with a two punch combination.
Bobles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Howatt tries to avoid it but Bobles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Howatt to the ground. Howatt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Blair Howatt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Bobles. Howatt misses with the combination.

Bobles looks up at the clock. Bad move! Howatt lands a right hand from hell, dropping Bobles. Howatt pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svenn swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thomas. Svenn moves away from the strike by Thomas. Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Svenn moves away. Thomas connects with a jab.

Bean is trying to break free.
Nutlover is not going to allow Bean to sit and survive in this position. Nutlover has the hooks in. Bean is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
