The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nelson lands an overhand right.
Nelson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Battery backs up against the cage.
Battery tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nelson swivels and escapes.
Nelson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Nelson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nelson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Smelly Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Battery tries to clinch but Nelson moves out of range.

Battery drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Battery is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nelson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Battery prevents Nelson from escaping the position.
Battery trying to control the action but Nelson is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Battery thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Nelson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Nelson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Battery tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smelly Nelson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nelson throws a series of strikes that have Battery backpedaling.

Battery is rocked!
Nelson Rushes Battery and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Battery is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Nelson Piles on the pressure and Battery crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
