The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodhall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pena throws a right and a left that Woodhall avoids nicely.
Pena takes a swing at Woodhall's ribcage but misses.
Pena closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Woodhall to the mat! Woodhall manages to get full guard.
Pena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Woodhall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Woodhall is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Pena drops back looking for a leg! Woodhall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Woodhall manages to kick Pena off! Pena jumps back into Woodhall's guard.

Pena has hold of Woodhall's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Woodhall tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pena cranks the arm and Woodhall screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Woodhall, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
