Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole Rivers struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson shoots in and drives through. Rivers sprawls well. Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rivers pinned against the cage. Rivers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Anderson clinches up with Rivers and pushes him back against the cage. Rivers goes for a takedown attempt but Anderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Rivers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rivers lands with a punch from half guard. Anderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rivers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rivers's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson doesn't have the hooks in and Rivers manages to turn into his guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Liddell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Liddell lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Liddell tries to clinch but Brickshaw moves out of range. Brickshaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Liddell. Liddell tries for a takedown but Brickshaw sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Liddell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brickshaw circles away from the clinch attempt and Brickshaw counters with a nice double leg into side control. Liddell won't be happy with that. Liddell being controlled for a moment. Brickshaw is working to tighten is grip on Liddell's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Liddell has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Brickshaw is really squeezing tight and eventually Liddell passes out! Brickshaw breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin misses with a low kick. Martin looks to land a left hand but Grenier moved out of range nicely. Grenier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Martin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Martin is working hard here to advance position. Grenier controlling from side mount. Martin defending against the ground and pound. Grenier is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grenier stands up and beckons Martin to his feet. Grenier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Martin missing with a left hand there. Grenier was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Grenier checks a low kick from Martin. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Grenier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Martin throws out the jab. Martin is looking to chop away at Grenier's legs. The fight stays on the outside here - Martin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Martin misses with a head kick.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Martin's guard. Grenier is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Grenier avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Grenier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Martin prevents Grenier from improving his position. Martin seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Grenier has recovered full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. That was a close second round but I would say that Christian Martin will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A good leg kick by Grenier. Martin slips under a jab from Grenier. Martin throws a solid leg kick but Grenier takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Martin. Grenier staying out of range there. Grenier tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Derrel Grenier. Well Grenier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Tony Ing had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ing stands up from mount. Strange move. Nagase moves into the clinch. Ing is trying to trip Nagase. He has hold of a leg but Nagase is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ing persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Nagase trying to keep a closed guard but Ing is proving a slippery customer.
Nagase wants to sweep here but Ing controlling him for the moment. Nagase is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ing wants to control from the top but Nagase keeps moving. Ing wants to stand but Nagase is controlling his posture from full guard. Nagase seems keen to control Ing's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagase lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ing! Nagase prevents Ing from getting the reversal. Ing has given up his back here.
Ing is breathing heavily. Nagase controlling the position well here. Ing rolled but Nagase kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Let's hope that Nagase has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ing covering up well under a series of strikes from Nagase.

He only made it down to 157.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Earp goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Earp has a takedown stuffed. Earp connects with a solid leg kick. Earp is looking to clinch. Earp fails in his attempt to clinch. Earp throws a nice looking combination but Schwartz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A head kick misses from Earp. Earp shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Schwartz counters with a single leg into guard. Earp didn't expect that. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Schwartz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Schwartz preventing the sweep. Schwartz looking to sit in guard and control but Earp gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Schwartz keeping moving, preventing Earp from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Johann Schwartz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Schwartz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
