Holly holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Farty McFart Pants!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFart Pants blocks a head kick by Assante.
McFart Pants shoots in for a takedown but Assante shows good takedown defense.
McFart Pants pivots, looking for a leg kick but Assante is out of range and McFart Pants settles back down.
Assante throws a half hearted mid kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Assante.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McFart Pants crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Assante - the referee stops the clock and McFart Pants gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Assante. McFart Pants manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
McFart Pants throws a chopping leg kick but Assante manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Assante connects with a high kick.

It looks like Farty McFart Pants has been cut.
Assante misses with an attempted mid kick.
Assante looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Assante tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Assante pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Assante plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

McFart Pants is rocked!
A punch combination from McFart Pants misses.

McFart Pants shoots in and bounces Assante off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Assante wants to get back to his feet but McFart Pants is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McFart Pants is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Assante is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Assante has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McFart Pants is trying to control the position but Assante postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McFart Pants looking for a sweep. Not yet McFart Pants, not yet.
Assante is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

McFart Pants has an active guard here but Assante has managed to pass into half guard.

McFart Pants is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Assante pulls his head out easily.
McFart Pants looks gassed!

Assante escapes and gets back to his feet.
Assante misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Assante lands with a cross.
Assante circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! McFart Pants drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Assante follows McFart Pants to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
