Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Mica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Mica! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mica blocks a jab. Lee takes the fight into the clinch. Mica can't get the takedown.
Lee pushes Mica back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Lee lands a shoulder strike. Mica wants a takedown.
Lee manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lee lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lee takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A right hook to the body lands for Lee.
Lee lands with a light punch inside. The referee calls for Lee to work.
Lee pulls guard. Mica stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mica stopping the sweep attempt from Lee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee working for a triangle but Mica defends it easily.
Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mica doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mica manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lee has a closed guard, preventing Mica from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mica stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mica wants to stand but Lee is controlling his posture from full guard. Mica seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mica slips a jab from Lee. Peter Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mica tries to land a front kick but Lee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Lee misses with an uppercut. Mica saw that one coming. Mica swinging wilding here.
Mica stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. Mica lands a two punch combo.

Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lee thuds a left hand into Mica's body. Mica looks gassed! Lee looks to land a combination. Mica sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Mica misses with the combination.
Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mica really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee with shots to the head and body - Mica looks very uncomfortable down there. Lee unloads with some shots from mount but Mica bucks and avoids them well.
Lee trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mica tries to hold on but Lee pushes him away. Lee lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mica hang on? Lee looking to finish with strikes here!
Lee scoring with strikes but Mica is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Lee dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

letting Lee counter with a right hand. Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mica looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mica is not content to let Lee control the position. Lee landing strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mica can do anything to dispel that myth. Mica is breathing heavily. The ground and pound from Lee seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Lee in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee working the ground and pound from side control. Lee controls the position. Mica managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lee.
Lee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mica to see if he's OK. Mica is looking to regain half guard here but Lee keeps moving and retains side control. Mica prevents Lee from moving into mount. Lee lands a nice forearm strike. Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lee lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee looks up at the clock and then as Mica takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lee smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mica hang on? Lee landing shots from mount. Mica in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Lee dominating with strikes here. Lee lands a big shot there that rocks Mica but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee unloading with bombs! Lee working Mica over with strikes here. Lee cracks Mica with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mica defends it well. Mica keeping hold of Lee's head, controlling as best he can. Lee throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mica does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mica's head. Mica trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lee throwing strikes here but Mica is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mica tries to hold on but Lee postures up. Lee raining down shots from the mount! Mica is looking to improve his position but Lee isn't that keen on the idea. Mica tries to buck Lee off but he can't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The referee warns Mica that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Lee punishing his opponent with strikes. Peter Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mica is in a horrible position here. Lee smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lee lands a nice shot to the head. Mica is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lee breaks from Mica's wrist control and lands an elbow. Lee with the ground and pound from mount. Lee thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
A nice elbow there by Lee. Lee tries to control but Mica wriggling away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee lands a heavy elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Lee showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Sir Violator has been cut. Sabian stands up from Violator's guard - Sabian perhaps looking for a knockout. Violator is still on wobbly legs! Can Sabian finish him? Sabian cracks Violator with a left hook right on the temple and Violator goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Sabian lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Violator is OK!

Marsters throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carters head. Carter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Marsters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marsters lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Carter falls backwards - clearly groggy! Marsters dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Gibson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Santos. Santos clinches with his opponent.

Santos no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gibson uses it to pass to side control.

and Smek decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dumonte's guard. Smek won't allow Dumonte to get back to his feet. Smek stands up and waves to Dumonte to follow him. Smek throws a head kick that Dumonte semi-blocks.

Dumonte manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Smek shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dumonte as he avoids it easily. Dumonte wants to clinch and Smek counters with a nice leg kick. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Dumonte drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Smek is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

A close fourth round but Rollo Smek will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dumonte closes the distance but Smek moves to the side and Smek counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dumonte wants to sweep but no luck. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dumonte throws a head kick that misses and Smek counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Smek avoids the elbow strike from Dumonte, against the cage.
Smek turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Smek manages to end up in side control. Smek is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Smek decides to take the fight back to the feet. Smek throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Smek fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dumonte drives through and clinches with Smek against the cage.

Smek tries to free his leg and advance position but Dumonte is retaining full guard. Dumonte is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Paul Dumonte has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dumonte pushes Smek off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A lazy left from Dumonte finds it's target. Smek will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dumonte misses with a wild body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Rollo Smek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Smek winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
