The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McTeagle throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Gracie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. McTeagle tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it. McTeagle prevents Gracie from improving position. Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McTeagle, who protects the arm well. Gracie trying to control the action but McTeagle is working from the bottom. Gracie decides to stand up, so the ref orders McTeagle to his feet. Gracie fails to land the takedown. McTeagle has taken the fight to the clinch.
McTeagle lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. McTeagle manages to break the clinch.
McTeagle darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage. Gracie is working for takedown but McTeagle is calmly controlling the position for now. McTeagle landing some nice looking knees to the body.
McTeagle lands a shoulder strike. McTeagle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gracie can't fight it off and eventually McTeagle manages to take the fight to the floor. Gracie looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McTeagle trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. McTeagle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. McTeagle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from. Gracie working for a triangle but McTeagle defends it easily.

McTeagle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McTeagle looking to pass the guard. McTeagle wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McTeagle's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McTeagle looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.

Gracie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. McTeagle trying to control the position.
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gracie wants to control from the top but McTeagle keeps moving. Gracie won't allow McTeagle to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but McTeagle keeps working.

Nice takedown defense from McTeagle. No joy for Gracie on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. That was a close round but I would say that Rob Gracie will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McTeagle wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. McTeagle keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass. McTeagle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie advances position into side control! McTeagle is looking to regain half guard here but Gracie keeps moving and retains side control. Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie advances nicely into full mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McTeagle is trying to escape the mount but Gracie keeps good control and instead manages to take McTeagle's back.
I really don't envy McTeagle right now.
McTeagle just trying to survive but Gracie is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. McTeagle is trying to defend against the choke here but Gracie has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Gracie Tightens the hold and McTeagle taps out furiously! Gracie displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaeshi misses the shot to the body. Gaeshi tries to bum rush daisy with a series of wild strikes but daisy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. daisy moves out of range of the strikes. daisy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
daisy shoots in but Gaeshi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gaeshi misses with a straight right. daisy dodges the punch combination from Gaeshi.
Gaeshi throws a lazy head kick and daisy counters with a three punch combo that has Gaeshi backing up. Gaeshi nods at daisy to acknowledge the strikes. Gaeshi swinging wilding here.
daisy shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaeshi tries to sprawl out of it but daisy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaeshi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gaeshi scores with a hook to the body. daisy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Gaeshi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. daisy won't allow Gaeshi to pass to mount. daisy is trying to get back to full guard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Not particularly brutal. Gaeshi throws a strike but daisy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Gaeshi wants to stand but daisy is controlling the position. Gaeshi has his feet on daisy 's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Gaeshi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. daisy moves in looking to clinch but Gaeshi pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. daisy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gaeshi swats him away and circles back towards the center. daisy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gaeshi. That did some damage! Gaeshi feints and as daisy raises his hands in defense, Gaeshi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gaeshi chips away with some ground and pound. daisy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gaeshi lands a couple of digs. Gaeshi pushes down on daisy 's leg and manages to get into half guard. daisy taking some punishment here, with Gaeshi in his half guard. Gaeshi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Gaeshi landing shots from mount.

Very athletic spring there. daisy avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Marcus daisy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gaeshi throws a combination that misses and daisy makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gaeshi really felt that one! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gaeshi throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Sumi Gaeshi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gaeshi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Baeumer lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
