The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvero moves out of range as Latu strikes.

Alvero should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Latu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alvero defends it well.

Latu is working for a kimura but Alvero is defending it quite comfortably.
Latu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Alvero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Triad tries to clinch but McDonald is having none of it.

so Triad counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Triad looking to sit in guard and control but McDonald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
McDonald wants to stand but Triad has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Triad manages to escape and get back to his feet.
McDonald throws a low kick but it's checked well by Triad.

Snow comes to the cage accompanied by Through the Fire and Flames. David Boyle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one!
