Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brycen Gionet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otis Redding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gionet comes into the arena with "Mosh" by Eminem blaring out of the sound system. Otis Redding struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gionet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Redding is fending him off so far but Gionet persists. Nope, Redding circles away and we're back to standing. Redding lands a front kick. Gionet will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gionet fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brycen Gionet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gionet looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Redding scores with a leg kick.

Redding lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gionet's sensitive parts. Redding gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gionet slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gionet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gionet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gionet decides to take the fight back to the feet. Gionet is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Gionet shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gionet showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gionet seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Redding is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gionet is trying for a kimura here. Redding looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Gionet wins by kimura!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slater Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gusav Wasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes into the arena with "Fight Music" by D12 blaring out of the sound system. Slater Thomas had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Gusav Wasa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Thomas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Thomas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wasa wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Thomas is now in half guard. Thomas wants to free his trapped foot but Wasa is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wasa postures up in Thomas's guard and throws a big left but Thomas blocks it. Wasa makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Wasa passes Thomas's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wasa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thomas is just riding it out for now. Wasa eventually gives up the hold. Wasa performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thomas tries to get to full guard but Wasa has control of the leg. Wasa wants to take a breather but Thomas is having none of it. Thomas wants to control but Wasa is keeping busy.
Thomas is controlling Wasa's trapped leg to prevent Wasa from advancing to side control. Thomas wants to control but Wasa is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gusav Wasa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thomas has one foot on Wasa's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Wasa displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Wasa dodges the punch combination from Thomas.
And that's the end of the fight! Slater Thomas showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thomas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Shea Cuervo has been cut. Cuervo keeps the fight on the outside. Brown tries to clinch but Cuervo moves out of range. Cuervo fails with the takedown. Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brown fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cuervo shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cuervo tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pierson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pierson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. mcneil wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Pierson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. mcneil knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften mcneil for a finish. mcneil can't escape the position.
Pierson is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Pierson gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pierson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pierson apologises and we restart here on the feet.
