Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior comes to the cage accompanied by Unstable. On his way into the cage it seems that Ultimate Warrior has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ultimate Warrior seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warrior throws a wild body kick that Richards sees coming a mile off. Richards misses with the combination.
Warrior shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Richards as he avoids it easily. Warrior shoots in but Richards avoids the takedown attempt easily. Richards cracks Warrior with an open hand slap. Warrior looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Warrior is thwarting Richards's attempts to control the position. Richards is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Warrior jumps into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richards is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Richards is looking for a sweep. Warrior working away.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Richards misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Richards clinches up against the cage. Richards breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Richards shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Warrior is breathing heavily. Richards goes for an armbar but Warrior turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Warrior. Richards keeping moving, preventing Warrior from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Warrior is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Richards is surviving well by controlling Warrior's body position as best he can. Warrior sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richards wants to control but Warrior is having none of it. Richards working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Richards wants to control but Warrior is having none of it. Richards is trying desperately to improve position. Richards is in a horrible position here. Warrior smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Richards is bucking up trying to escape but Warrior cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Warrior looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Richards is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Richards might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Warrior kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ultimate Warrior dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Warrior closes the distance but Richards moves to the side and Richards counters by clinching up. Richards gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Warrior.
Richards lands with a left to the head. Richards with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Richards breaks from the clinch.
Warrior closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Warrior lands in his opponent's guard. Richards wants to control but Warrior passes easily into half guard.
Richards is looking for a sweep. Warrior is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Richards is pressing down on Warrior's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warrior trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Warrior accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Warrior trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Warrior looking to pass the guard. Richards looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warrior is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Warrior pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Richards moves into the clinch. Richards breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Richards moves into the clinch successfully.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Richards works his way back into a safe position though. Richards decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Richards throws a nice inside leg kick. Richards tries to clinch there but Warrior circles away.
Warrior misses with a takedown and Richards makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ultimate Warrior. That's going to take a lot out of him. Warrior closes the distance and clinches up with Richards, looking for a takedown. Warrior pushes Richards against the cage but Richards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Maximus Richards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Warrior moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Warrior connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Richards has closed the distance and engaged Warrior in a clinch.

Come on Richards - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Richards wants to clinch and Warrior counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Warrior advances to half guard. Richards tries to kick Warrior off but Warrior keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Richards is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Warrior is trying to control the action in half guard but Richards is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Warrior has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Warrior with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richards wants to hold on but Warrior pushes him away. Warrior lands a nice shot to the head. Warrior avoids the attempt from Richards to control. Warrior lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Richards tries to hold on but Warrior postures up. Richards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warrior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Richards is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ultimate Warrior. I think Warrior has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
