Martini tries to clinch but Benavidez is having none of it.

Benavidez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Benavidez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martini gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Benavidez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Martini is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Benavidez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Martini's back instead.

Martini manages to reverse the position and now he's in Benavidez's guard. Nice work there by Martini.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bodie Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KJ Kesler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Long might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Friends In Low Places. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
