The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinkeri is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kinkeri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parantainen.
Parantainen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kinkeri as he avoids it easily.
Kinkeri tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kinkeri throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kalle Kinkeri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parantainen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kinkeri.
Parantainen slips under a jab.
Kinkeri throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kinkeri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Parantainen manages to avoid it.
Parantainen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kinkeri's waist but Kinkeri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parantainen off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kinkeri lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kinkeri cracks a nice hook into Parantainen's ribs.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kinkeri.

Kinkeri cracks Parantainen on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Parantainen falls backwards against the cage. Kinkeri follows up with more strikes that drop Parantainen to his knees. Kinkeri keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Parantainen! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du throws a leg kick which misses Savage's front leg but catches the back leg as Savage tries to avoid it.
Savage avoids the head kick by Du.
A good leg kick by Du.

Du shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Savage connecting with a few gentle strikes.
Du slips a nice elbow through Savage's hands, connecting with Savage's forehead.
Du is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Savage is looking to improve his position.
Du wants to control but Savage is keeping him busy.
Savage wants to get back to full guard.
Savage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Savage tries to get out of the position.
Du is keen to just control but Savage is a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Du is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Savage can't fight it off and eventually Du manages to take the fight to the floor. Savage looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Savage can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Du controls the pace.
Du has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nikkinen is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
