Gracie stuffs the takedown.
A head kick misses from Gracie.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lachance.
Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Lachance shoots in.

Lachance tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gracie swivels and escapes.
Lachance bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lachance changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Lachance manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lachance closes the distance and clinches up with Gracie, looking for a takedown. Lachance pushes Gracie against the cage but Gracie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lachance changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Lachance manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lachance will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lachance blocks a jab.
Gracie darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gracie cracks Lachance with an open hand slap.
Gracie shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Lachance takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Gracie sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Lachance bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Soszynski has control of Kayne's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kayne regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kayne wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Soszynski.

Kayne feints and then cracks Soszynski's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Soszynski down.

Kayne sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Soszynski to the ground! Kayne dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Krzys Soszynski has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kayne tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Kayne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kayne throws a left that rocks Soszynski and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kayne dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Soszynski regain composure!

Kayne takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kayne gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Kayne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Soszynski closes the distance and clinches up with Kayne, looking for a takedown. Soszynski pushes Kayne against the cage but Kayne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kayne uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Soszynski has time to react.
A nice combination there by Kayne.
Soszynski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kayne circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Soszynski drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kayne follows Soszynski to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Einar Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brian Baumgardner!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fighters circling - Lee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Baumgardner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Baumgardner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baumgardner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Einar Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baumgardner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.
Baumgardner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Baumgardner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Baumgardner persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing.
Lee lands with an uppercut that bounces Baumgardner off the cage and back into rage.
Lee lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Baumgardner is rocked!

It looks like Brian Baumgardner has been cut.
Baumgardner leaves his chin hanging out and Lee seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Baumgardner crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
