5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masato Saeba! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saeba takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Willwerth is looking to clinch. Willwerth misses with a series of wild punches.
Willwerth lands an overhand right. Saeba getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Willwerth swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Saeba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Willwerth throws a nice looking combination but Saeba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Willwerth shoots in and bounces Saeba off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Willwerth trying to control but Saeba is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saeba looking for a sweep. Not yet Saeba, not yet. Saeba trying to keep a closed guard but Willwerth is proving a slippery customer.

Saeba looking to hit a scissor sweep but Willwerth is one step ahead there. Saeba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Willwerth avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Willwerth wants to control from the top but Saeba keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Willwerth moves out of range of the body kick. Willwerth scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Willwerth misses with a hook. Willwerth uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Saeba. Willwerth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Saeba is in a horrible position here. Willwerth smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Saeba tries to hold on but Willwerth pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saeba is looking to improve his position but Willwerth isn't that keen on the idea. Willwerth jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Saeba is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Saeba and Willwerth has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Saeba is not content to let Willwerth control the position. Saeba sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Saeba wants to improve his position but Willwerth is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Saeba slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Saeba keeping moving, preventing Willwerth from controlling successfully. Willwerth missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Saeba wants to sweep but no luck. Willwerth trying to control but Saeba is working from the bottom. Saeba pulls Willwerth in close to his closed guard and prevents Willwerth from doing any damage or advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dennis Willwerth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saeba works the jab nicely. Saeba has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Saeba there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Saeba slips a straight right by Willwerth. Willwerth shoots in for a takedown but Saeba shows good takedown defense. Saeba throws a big shot that misses. Willwerth bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Willwerth throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Saeba throws a combination that misses and Willwerth counters with a thumping low kick. Saeba doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Saeba blocks a jab. A jab from Willwerth misses. Saeba misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Willwerth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willwerth blocks a jab. Willwerth throws a head kick that misses. Saeba throws a combination that misses and Willwerth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Saeba misses with a low kick.
Willwerth takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dennis Willwerth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saeba throws a sloppy head kick and Willwerth moves out of range easily. Saeba slips a jab and a cross from Willwerth.
Willwerth misses with a straight right. Saeba on the wrong end of a nice jab. Willwerth throws a lazy head kick and Saeba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dennis Willwerth is winning the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willwerth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saeba tries to get back to half guard but can't. Saeba is not content to let Willwerth control the position. Willwerth creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Saeba sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Willwerth working away. Saeba tries to bench press Willwerth off him but Willwerth keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saeba is fending him off so far but Willwerth persists. Nope, Saeba circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Willwerth. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Willwerth. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saeba goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Willwerth missing with a left hand there. Saeba was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. An inside leg kick lands from Saeba. Saeba pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willwerth shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Saeba but Saeba pushes him off and we're back to square one. Willwerth misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Saeba scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Saeba showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Willwerth.

Willwerth cracks Saeba with a good jab. Willwerth walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Saeba misses with a looping left. Willwerth connects with a body shot. Nice sprawl there from Saeba as Willwerth shoots in. Willwerth tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saeba swats him away and circles back towards the center. Saeba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Willwerth is looking to score with low kicks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saeba throws a sloppy head kick so Willwerth counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Willwerth won't allow Saeba to sweep him here. Saeba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Willwerth with a flurry of punches that miss. Saeba utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Saeba keeping moving, preventing Willwerth from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saeba is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Willwerth passes easily into side control. Nice work. Saeba taking a bit of punishment here - Willwerth scoring with strikes. Willwerth working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Willwerth scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Saeba to see if he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dennis Willwerth. I think Willwerth has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickson dodges the punch combination from Boyce.
Dickson staying out of range there. Boyce tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dickson was well out of range. Poor timing from Boyce. Boyce fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Boyce misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Boyce throws a front kick aimed at Dickson's knee but Dickson avoids it well. Dickson thows a left - swing and a miss! Boyce connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dickson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boyce is looking to clinch. Boyce misses with a straight right. Boyce fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Boyce. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheers as Dickson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boyce doesn't seem phased though. Dickson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Nice straight punches there by Dickson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dickson. Boyce looks to score with a jab to the body but Dickson is just out of range. Boyce throws a body punch but Dickson moves out of range. Dickson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dickson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boyce stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Boyce is breathing heavily. Nice combo by Dickson! Oh, that's hurt him - Boyce falls to the canvas and Dickson follows him into side control.
It looks like Tommy Boyce has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dickson working the ground and pound.
Boyce is rocked! Dickson decides to take the fight back to the feet. No joy there for Dickson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boyce tries to clinch up but Dickson circles away and keeps his distance. Dickson drops Boyce with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Boyce! Dickson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Pound. Salazar swats away the attempt to clinch by Pound. Salazar connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Ground Pound has been cut. Salazar stuffs the takedown. Salazar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pound gets the takedown into side control. Salazar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Salazar sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pound decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Pound keeps the fight on the outside. Salazar with a nice cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Salazar throws a hook but Pound avoids it easily. Salazar fails with an attempt to clinch.

Salazar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pound has him pressed against the cage. Pound is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Salazar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Salazar has had enough of the clinch but Pound keeps him there for the moment. Pound breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Salazar is not content to let Pound control the position. Pound is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Salazar has escaped the position, nice work there. Salazar is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Salazar takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Salazar struggling a bit here. Pound looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pound working the head with strikes. Pound decides to stand back up. Pound steps back and let's Salazar get back to his feet. Salazar fails in his attempt to clinch. Pound fails with a takedown attempt. Salazar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pound successfully pulls guard.

Pound wants to stand up but Salazar is controlling him. Salazar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pound kicks Salazar off and gets to his feet. Salazar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big left from Salazar misses. A slow jab from Salazar misses its intended target. Salazar misses with a looping left. Pound clinches up against the cage. Pound tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That was a close round but I would say that Juan Salazar will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ground Pound's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Salazar is working an open guard so Pound takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Pound shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salazar as he jumps to the side. Salazar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pound can't escape the position.

Salazar working over Pound with some ground and pound. Pound looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar moves nicely into side control. Pound is looking for a sweep. Salazar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salazar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pound is looking to reverse the position. Salazar is trying to get an arm triangle but Pound is defending well. Pound striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Pound's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pound manages to work his way to half guard, despite Salazar's best efforts. Pound is looking for a sweep. Salazar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Salazar stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pound to get to his feet. Salazar misses with a low kick. Pound staying out of range there. Salazar fails to land the takedown. Pound drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Salazar working for a triangle but Pound defends it easily.
Salazar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pound has picked Salazar up and slammed him! Salazar can't keep hold of the triangle and Pound manages to pass to side control!

Pound prevents Salazar from getting the reversal. Pound landing strikes from the mount and Salazar is in trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salazar tries to reverse the position but Pound maintains control. Pound landing strikes from the mount and Salazar is in trouble! Salazar is bucking up trying to escape but Pound cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Salazar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Salazar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Salazar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Salazar preventing the sweep. Salazar landing some decent shots from guard. Pound scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Salazar wants to get back to his feet but Pound is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pound advances position into side control! Salazar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salazar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Salazar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pound can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Salazar wants to sweep but no luck. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pound landing some decent shots from guard. It looks like Jrock Mandela has been cut. Mandela fails with a takedown attempt. Mandela tries to clinch up. Mandela instigates a clinch. Wilkes lands an elbow inside. Wilkes scores a nice knee to the body.

Wilkes tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Mandela cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mackie looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mackie shoots in but no luck this time. Corncrab throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mackie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar throws a jab but it's blocked by Puno. Lesnar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Puno. The fighters circling - Puno throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fidel Puno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puno throws a hook but Lesnar blocks it.
