The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menjadi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Lion's guard. Menjadi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Lion's head. The Lion keeping moving, preventing Menjadi from controlling successfully. Menjadi wants to get up but he can't break The Lion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Menjadi gets to his feet - The Lion follows without any prompting. Menjadi throws a head kick that The Lion semi-blocks.
It looks like Joey The Lion has been cut. The Lion tries to keep at a distance but Menjadi has taken the fight into the clinch. The Lion manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Menjadi looking to pass the guard. The Lion keeping moving, preventing Menjadi from controlling successfully. Menjadi controlling from the top position. Menjadi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but The Lion has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Meadows does no damage. Hideyoshi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Hideyoshi drives through and clinches with Meadows against the cage.
Meadows wants to break free but Hideyoshi has control.
Hideyoshi scores with an uppercut up the middle. A knee to the head by Hideyoshi.
Meadows's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Hideyoshi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Meadows. Hideyoshi lands a nice uppercut.
Meadows is rocked! A quick uppercut on the inside from Hideyoshi. Meadows is still on wobbly legs! Can Hideyoshi finish him? Hideyoshi has Meadows pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Meadows is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Hideyoshi - that's hurt Meadows badly! Oh, another knee lands and Meadows is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Meadows doesn't seem to be complaining.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcpaene changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Duudi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcpaene decides to stand back up. Mcpaene feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Duudi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machiavelli will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yanar shoots in for a takedown but Machiavelli shows good takedown defense. A slow jab from Machiavelli misses its intended target. Yanar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Machiavelli counters with a nice uppercut. A jab from Yanar misses. Machiavelli uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yanar.

Yanar connects with a nice short shot to Machiavelli's temple. Machiavelli looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Yanar is trying to control the action in half guard but Machiavelli is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machiavelli looking for submissions off his back. Yanar is looking for a kimura here.

Machiavelli is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yanar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yanar's back! Machiavelli missing with strikes from the back. Machiavelli controlling well, preventing Yanar from escaping the position.

Sabotka controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Zimmerman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Eric Zimmerman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sabotka is pushing down on Zimmerman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zimmerman is fighting to maintain full guard but Sabotka has managed to sneak the leg through. Zimmerman is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sabotka jumps into side control! You can see the frustration on Zimmerman's face as Sabotka controls the position.

Sabotka perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Zimmerman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Zimmerman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sabotka works his way into full mount! Sabotka tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sabotka tries to control but Zimmerman wriggling away. Sergei Sabotka is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Zimmerman trying desperately to get to his feet.
