The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gump shoots for a takedown but bain saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. bain is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gump. Gump misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gump. Tim bain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Forrest Gump. Gump walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. bain checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. bain missing with a left hand there. Gump was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gump. The fight moves into the clinch position. bain wants to get back to striking at distance but Gump won't allow it.
Gump has bain pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. bain manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. bain gets underhooks to prevent Gump's takedown attempt.
Gump misses with an elbow over the top. bain breaks the clinch.
bain looks to land a left hand but Gump moved out of range nicely. bain feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gump sprawling to the canvas! Gump rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can bain finish him?!
It looks like Forrest Gump has been cut. Gump looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. bain pushing out the jab but it's not landing. bain thows a left - swing and a miss! bain throws a big shot that misses. bain keeps the fight on the outside. A swing and a miss from bain. bain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. bain tries to bum rush Gump with a series of wild strikes but Gump uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gump misses with a hook. Gump takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
bain cracks Gump with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gump looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can bain finish him?
Gump is rocked! bain misses with a looping left. Gump is still on wobbly legs! Can bain finish him? Gump is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gump ducks into an uppercut from bain and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Litter wants to clinch up but Hunting keeps it at a distance. A jab from Hunting finds it's way through Litter's defenses.
It looks like Cat Litter has been cut. Hunting swinging wilding here.
Hunting bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Litter! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Litter is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Litter isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hunting stacks Litter on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hunting! Oh Litter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Litter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hunting's best efforts. Litter seems to have got his legs back now. Litter looking for submissions off his back. Litter is trying to get back to full guard. Hunting escapes and gets back to his feet.

Litter tries to clinch but Hunting is having none of it. Hunting motions for Litter to come forward. Hunting throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hunting misses with a series of wild punches.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Litter working for a submission but Hunting is keeping him at bay. Litter is breathing heavily.

Litter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hunting is looking to escape. Litter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hunting is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hunting and Litter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Litter goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hunting rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Litter's guard! Nice work there by Hunting!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Litter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Litter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hunting. A jab-cross combination lands for Hunting and sends Litter crashing to the mat! Hunting follows him down to the mat - Litter regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Litter is pressing down on Hunting's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hunting is looking to stand up but Litter won't let him. Litter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hunting doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hunting manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Well, if Hunting is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Litter is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hunting reverses the position - he's now on top in Litter's guard. Litter looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hunting has picked Litter up and slammed him! Litter can't keep hold of the triangle and Hunting manages to pass to side control! Hunting stands up. Litter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Will Hunting is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Litter throws a head kick that misses. A punch combination from Hunting misses.

Hertz throws a half hearted mid kick. Hertz tries a head kick but it misses.
Hertz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Penn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jay Penn will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Penn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Penn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Penn working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hertz's thigh. Hertz counters though and makes it back to full guard. Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hertz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hertz is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hertz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Penn has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hertz doesn't defend quickly enough and Penn has managed to lock this one up! Can Hertz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Penn on a fantastic submission victory.
