Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stoney Mcweedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humberto Jamie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcweedy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is James Brown - I feel good.. Stoney Mcweedy had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Morgan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Morris or not.

Morris goes for a takedown in the clinch but Morgan prevents it.
Morgan is pressed up against the cage. Morris has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Morgan down to the mat. Morgan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Morris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morgan sprawls well initially but Morris persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Morris thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morgan's head.

Morris uses his free foot to push down on Morgan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Morgan.

Morgan's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Morgan is in a horrible position here. Morris smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Matt Morgan has been cut.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morgan can do anything to dispel that myth.

That has opened up Matt Morgan's cut even more.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morgan wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Morris.

Morris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Matt Morgan's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Morgan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
