The bell rings for round one and we are underway! dipchan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gomes kicks dipchan off and gets back to his feet. dipchan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gomes swivels and escapes. dipchan shoots for a takedown but Gomes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. dipchan shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomes tries to sprawl out of it but dipchan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gomes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mauro Gomes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of marc dipchan. dipchan looks gassed! Gomes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed dipchan momentarily.
Mauro Gomes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. dipchan checks a leg kick. Gomes throws a big overhand right that connects, sending dipchan tumbling to the canvas!

Mama is really struggling to control Kee but he's trying to hold on to the position. Mama would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kee pulls Mama in close to his closed guard and prevents Mama from doing any damage or advancing position.

Well Mama has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
