Bloodfist tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blackheart paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bloodfist misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bloodfist shoots for a double leg takedown but Blackheart sprawls well. He's pushed Bloodfist's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bloodfist is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bloodfist ducks under a wild hook from Blackheart. Blackheart takes a swing at Bloodfist's ribcage but misses. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Blackheart. I think Blackheart has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mean throws a sloppy head kick and Brewer moves out of range easily. Mean throws a series of punches but Brewer avoids them all with ease. Brewer on the wrong end of a nice hook. Mean just misses with a punch to the body.
Brewer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mean wants to sweep but no luck. Mean throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Brewer stands and throws Mean's legs to the side, diving into side control. Brewer working the body and head with strikes. Mean tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Brewer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Mean sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Brewer decides to return to a standing position. Brewer gets a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Brewer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mean taking some punishment here, with Brewer in his half guard. Brewer uses his free foot to push down on Mean's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mean. Brewer lands a big elbow. Mean in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Mean taking shots to the head. Brewer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mean scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Brewer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Brewer stands and salutes the crowd.

Abaddon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pinker connects with a decent elbow. Abaddon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Abaddon pushes Pinker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pinker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Pinker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pinker has control of Abaddon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Abaddon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Salcedo really is a fat lump. Nice sprawl there from FloFlop as Salcedo shoots in. FloFlop throws a head kick but Salcedo moves out of range.
Salcedo shoots for a takedown but FloFlop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salcedo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but FloFlop manages to avoid it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
