0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Velvet Jones! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones takes the fight into the clinch. A shot in the inside from Jones. Swicker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Jones jumps guard but Swicker stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Swicker prevents Jones from breaking the clinch. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Swicker has him pressed against the cage. Jones lands a left hand that snaps the head of Swicker backwards. Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Swicker pulls him back up using the underhooks. Mike Swicker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Velvet Jones. A short right from Jones. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Swicker just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jones's brow. Jones has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Swicker regains guard immediately. Jones throws and elbow that misses. Swicker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Swicker! Swicker trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Jones is looking to stand up but Swicker isn't so interested in that idea. Swicker wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to stand up but Swicker is controlling him. Jones striking off his back but it's not causing Swicker any problems.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Swicker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Swicker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones prevents Swicker from getting back to his feet. Swicker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jones wanted to stand there but Swicker had control of the position. Swicker working a defensive guard here.
Swicker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Swicker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Swicker is breathing heavily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jones stands up over Swicker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jones scoring with punches to the head and body. Jones thows a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Swicker, up you get! Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones drops Swicker with a naaaaasty hook - Swicker is in real trouble here! Jones dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obermueller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Obermueller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oooh a lovely combination from Obermueller sends Starr down but not out. Obermueller dives into side control looking to finish.
Starr is rocked!
It looks like Mike Starr has been cut. Obermueller takes a little break here. Starr wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Starr is still in real trouble! Can Obermueller finish him? Obermueller is looking to take a break and control but Starr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Starr seems to have recovered his senses. Starr is looking to regain half guard here but Obermueller keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obermueller gets to mount! Starr was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Obermueller controlling from mount. Starr can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Starr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Starr wants to try and get back to his feet. Obermueller looking to control but Starr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Starr can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obermueller won't let Starr get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Obermueller tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Starr tries to lock up and control but Obermueller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Obermueller looking to control and managing it successfully. Obermueller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Werner Obermueller dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Starr's cut. That's time! Obermueller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Obermueller throws a hook but Starr avoids it easily. Starr has a takedown stuffed. Some wild striking there from Obermueller.
Obermueller lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Obermueller throws a looping overhand right but Starr ducks down to avoid it. Starr tries for a takedown but Obermueller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Starr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Obermueller but Obermueller pushes him off and we're back to square one. Werner Obermueller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Starr. Starr avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Obermueller misses with the combination.

Obermueller throws a hook to the side of Starr's head but Starr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Starr has a takedown stuffed. Obermueller connects with a stiff jab that staggers Starr - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhukov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zhukov showed some decent athleticism there. Struve slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Zhukov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Struve dives on top into guard. Struve stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zhukov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Struve slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zhukov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Zhukov is working hard here to advance position. Zhukov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zhukov keeping full guard, as Struve tries to pass. Zhukov throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Struve throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zhukov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Struve doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zhukov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Zhukov. Struve looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Struve working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Struve tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Struve has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Zhukov is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zhukov regains half guard. Struve content to control rather than advance. Struve looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Struve lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nice strikes from Struve there. Struve throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Zhukov wants to get back to full guard. Zhukov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Struve on the ground. Zhukov is not content to let Struve control the position. Struve thows a huge punch but Zhukov dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Struve is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was a close round but I would say that Maxim Zhukov will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Zhukov shoots in looking for a takedown. Struve tries to sprawl out of it but Zhukov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Struve manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Zhukov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Struve shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zhukov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Struve won't be happy with that. Struve struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Struve gets back to half guard. Struve moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Struve throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Zhukov looking to sit in guard and control but Struve gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Struve wants to control from the top but Zhukov keeps moving. Zhukov looking for a sweep. Not yet Zhukov, not yet. Zhukov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Struve takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Zhukov wants to control but Struve is keeping busy.
Struve stands up and beckons Zhukov to join him on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zhukov misses with a takedown and Struve counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxim Zhukov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Struve doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zhukov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Struve! Zhukov lands a heavy elbow. Zhukov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Struve tries to reverse the position but Zhukov maintains control. Zhukov fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter shoots for a takedown but Riddell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Riddell throws a head kick that half lands.
Rubin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Riddell.
It looks like Ike Riddell has been cut. Riddell tries to clinch there but Carter circles away.
Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Riddell blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Riddell tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage. Riddell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A left lands for Carter. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter throws a series of strikes that have Riddell backpedaling.
Carter tries to clinch but Riddell moves away and Riddell counters with a head kick. That will keep Carter thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Carter lands a big shot that drops Riddell! Can he finish him?

He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riddell looking to control and managing it successfully. Riddell unloading with bombs! Riddell thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riddell tries to control but Carter wriggling away. Carter holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Riddell tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Riddell throws a head kick that misses. Riddell is looking to clinch. Carter fails with an attempt to clinch.

Riddell closes the distance and clinches up with Carter, looking for a takedown. Riddell pushes Carter against the cage but Carter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Good standup being displayed there by Carter as he connects with a hook. Carter connects with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Riddell paws at him with a jab and circles away. Riddell throws a head kick but Carter moves out of range.
Riddell tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Carter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Carter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Riddell on the side of the head.
That has opened up Ike Riddell's cut even more. Riddell misses with a head kick.
Carter is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carter misses with a combination
and Riddell counters with an outside leg kick.
Carter throws a nice looking combination but Riddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Riddell looks for the body kick but Carter saw that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riddell tries to keep at a distance but Carter has taken the fight into the clinch. Carter fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Carter scores with a nice hook to the head. Riddell pulls guard effortlessly. Carter trying to stand up but can't free himself from Riddell's guard. Riddell wants to sweep but no luck. Riddell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carter manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter wants to stand up but Riddell is controlling him. Riddell stays in close to Carter's body and controls the position. Carter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carter being controlled here, momentarily. Riddell stands and steps away. Carter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Riddell misses with a wild body shot. Riddell misses with a head kick.

and Carter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rubin Carter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ike Riddell's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Riddell throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range. Riddell shoots for a double leg takedown but Carter sprawls well. He's pushed Riddell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Riddell. Carter pushes Riddell up against the cage in a clinch. Carter lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Riddell avoiding damage.
Riddell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Riddell swats away the attempt to clinch by Carter. Riddell doesn't manage to clinch there - Carter circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riddell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Riddell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Riddell throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Carter stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Riddell follows into mount!
It looks like Rubin Carter has been cut. You get the feeling that Carter really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Riddell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carter is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riddell won't let Carter get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Riddell controlling the position easily from mount. Carter trying desperately to get to his feet.
Carter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carter tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Riddell trying to control but he's not successful this time. Carter is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Riddell trying to control but Carter is having none of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ike Riddell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Riddell slips a straight right by Carter.
And that's the end of the fight! Ike Riddell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Riddell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Good exchange - Daniels coming out on top. Daniels throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Klemperer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yemo. Yemo throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bill Yemo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yemo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yemo loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch. Yemo is looking to clinch. Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! A jab-cross combination lands for Jones and sends Yemo crashing to the mat! Jones follows him down to the mat - Yemo regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yemo throws out the jab. Yemo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a two punch combo. Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A punch lands to the side of Yemo 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A brutal finish to the fight - Jones jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
