0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Black! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Jefry with that takedown attempt. Jefry misses with a takedown attempt - Black sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Black shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jefry pinned against the cage. Jefry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jefry darts in and clinches Black up against the ropes. Black decides to pull guard. Black is looking for a triangle but Jefry pushes his legs off easily.
Black looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jefry is one step ahead there. Black preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Black kicks Jefry off and gets to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jefry rushes Black and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Black misses with a body punch.
Black is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Jefry tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Black smiles and moves away.

Black is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jefry! Jefry tries to lock up and control but Black gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jefry taking shots to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Black is in the full mount, landing strikes. Jefry is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jefry throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Jefry could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Black looking to control but Jefry is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Black looks gassed! Black tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jefry is trying desperately to improve position. Black with a couple of short strikes. Black looking to control but Jefry is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Black postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jefry looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Black sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jefry can't escape the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Black tries to clinch but Jefry moves out of range. Black throws a sloppy head kick and Jefry moves out of range easily. Black throws a hook but Jefry avoids it easily. Jefry with a lazy takedown attempt and Black counters with a single leg into guard. Jefry didn't expect that. Jefry tries to land a sweep but no joy. Black loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jefry is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We're back to striking at a distance. Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Black closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Black goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jefry rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Black's guard! Nice work there by Jefry!

Jefry Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Black's back instead. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Black can't escape the position.

A combination from Jefry does no damage. Jefry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center. Black gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jefry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Black drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Black works over Jefry with some ground and pound from guard. Jefry controls Black momentarily but Black frees himself. Black controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jefry keeping moving, preventing Black from controlling successfully.

Jefry fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Black is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Black tries to clinch up but Jefry circles away and keeps his distance. Jefry bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Jefry tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Black moves into the clinch. Andy Jefry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Black jumps into guard, dragging Jefry to the mat.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dekkers shoots in for a takedown but Zampidis shows good takedown defense. Dekkers has closed the distance and engaged Zampidis in a clinch.

Dekkers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dekkers showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Zampidis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dekkers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zampidis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dekkers tries to stand but Zampidis is controlling from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dekkers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dekkers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zampidis is fending him off so far but Dekkers persists. Nope, Zampidis circles away and we're back to standing. Zampidis moves into the clinch. Zampidis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zampidis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Zampidis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dekkers in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Zampidis has control of Dekkers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dekkers regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Zampidis tries to control but Dekkers wriggling away. Zampidis throws a wild left hand from mount and Dekkers manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Dekkers taking some punishment here, with Zampidis in his half guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zampidis looks to land a strike but Dekkers avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Zampidis tries to free his leg and advance position but Dekkers is retaining full guard. Zampidis is working hard here to advance position. Dekkers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Zampidis connects with a couple of short punches. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

He's got hold of a leg but Dekkers swivels and escapes. Zampidis tries to clinch up but Dekkers circles away and keeps his distance. Dekkers closes the distance but Zampidis moves to the side and Zampidis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dekkers lands a nice elbow. Dekkers jumps guard.

Dekkers wants to stand but Zampidis is controlling his posture from full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zampidis is pulling down on Dekkers's head. It's preventing any offense from Dekkers, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rocky Marciano! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marciano has a takedown stuffed. Sakurai circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for Marciano with that takedown attempt. Sakurai shoots in and bounces Marciano off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Marciano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sakurai controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Marciano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sakurai could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sakurai trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marciano trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's one minute gone in the round. Marciano looking for a sweep. Not yet Marciano, not yet. Sakurai slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Marciano controls Sakurai momentarily but Sakurai frees himself. Marciano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sakurai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Marciano pushes Sakurai up against the ropes in a clinch. Sakurai tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marciano just stands there and leans against the ropes. Sakurai wants a takedown.

Sakurai goes for a takedown in the clinch but Marciano prevents it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Marciano clinches up against the ropes. Marciano tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sakurai wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sakurai is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Marciano breaks from the clinch.
Marciano does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Marciano moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Sakurai blocks a head kick by Marciano.

Marciano throws a series of punches but Sakurai moves out of range. Sakurai rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marciano moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Marciano wants to clinch. Marciano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sakurai counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Well, if Sakurai is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sakurai connects with a nice short shot to Marciano's temple. Marciano trying to control from the bottom.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nice strikes from Sakurai there. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sakurai in particular looking to stall. Sakurai trying to control the action but Marciano is working from the bottom. Sakurai is taking a breather. Marciano says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Marciano trying to control here.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Sakurai stands up out of the half guard. Sakurai throws a wild body kick that Marciano sees coming a mile off. Marciano wants to clinch but Sakurai slips to the side and Sakurai counters with a nice double leg into guard. Marciano looking to control.
Sakurai passes Marciano's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sakurai is taking a breather. Marciano says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Marciano wants to improve his position but Sakurai is controlling well.
Sakurai perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Sakurai gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Sakurai shoots in for a takedown but Marciano shows good takedown defense.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Sakurai tries to clinch up and Marciano counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Marciano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marciano checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Marciano scores with a jab. Sakurai acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Marciano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sakurai tries to avoid it but Marciano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sakurai to the ground. Sakurai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Marciano shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakurai tries to sprawl out of it but Marciano keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Sakurai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sakurai smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mayato Sakurai overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marciano is looking for a sweep. Sakurai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Marciano is trying desperately to improve position. Sakurai working away from the top, dropping strikes. Marciano is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Marciano is desperately trying to improve his position but Sakurai has a good base and remains in mount. Sakurai takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sakurai lands a heavy elbow.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Sakurai has control of an arm but Marciano manages to advance to Sakurai's back! The referee is taking a good look at Marciano as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Sakurai!

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sakurai has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Marciano's body.
