The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Francis tries to move into range but Zulu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Zulu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Zulu throws a shot from downtown. Francis moves away and avoids it. Francis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Zulu is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Francis off and has taken his back! You can see the frustration on Francis's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Zulu cracks Francis with an open hand slap. Francis throws a series of punches but Zulu moves out of range. Good leg kick by Zulu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Malik Francis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Francis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zulu's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Malik Francis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Francis trying to control the position from guard on top but Zulu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roughneck. Roughneck tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stryfe swivels and escapes. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stryfe.
Roughneck avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stryfe clobbers Roughneck with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Roughneck looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stryfe is fending him off so far but Roughneck persists. Nope, Stryfe circles away and we're back to standing. Nathan Stryfe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Les Roughneck. Roughneck lands a nice looking body shot.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A big right from Stryfe misses. Stryfe misses with an uppercut. Roughneck saw that one coming. Roughneck closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Roughneck lands in his opponent's guard. Roughneck on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Roughneck tries to get out of the position. Roughneck drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roughneck jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Roughneck postures up in Stryfe's guard and throws a big left but Stryfe blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roughneck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stryfe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Roughneck looking to sit in guard and control but Stryfe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stryfe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Stryfe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Roughneck has an active guard here but Stryfe has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters circling - Stryfe throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stryfe throws a lazy right hand but Roughneck sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Oh, Roughneck has tightened it up now! Stryfe should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zizzmen clinches. Panameno looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zizzmen. Panameno has Zizzmen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Oh Panameno is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Zizzmen stalling against the cage.
Panameno seems to have got his legs back now. Zizzmen scores with a nice hook to the head. Zizzmen prevents a takedown attempt there.
A nice left hand lands by Zizzmen.
Zizzmen lands a shoulder strike. Zizzmen has Panameno pressed against the cage.
Zizzmen lands a shot to the body. Zizzmen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Zizzmen pushes Panameno back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Panameno has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zizzmen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Zizzmen.
Zizzmen lands a nice uppercut. Panameno changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Zizzmen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Zizzmen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Panameno moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Panameno shoots in and drives through. Zizzmen sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zizzmen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Panameno sprawling to the canvas! Panameno rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zizzmen finish him?!
Zizzmen lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Panameno falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlad Krukiov! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krukiov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shum but Shum pushes him off and we're back to square one. A punch combination from Shum misses. Krukiov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shum looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. A bit of a lull in the action here. Krukiov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shum, who protects the arm well. Krukiov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Check out the look on Krukiov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Shum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krukiov on the ground. Krukiov throwing shots but missing, from side control. An elbow from Krukiov crashes against the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krukiov working away. Krukiov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Krukiov working the ground and pound but Shum is defending the strikes. You can see the frustration on Shum's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Krukiov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Shum wants to get back to his feet. Shum tries to improve position but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shum throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Krukiov dodges the punch combination from Shum.
Shum throws a right hand that Krukiov ducks under and follows up with a left that Krukiov also avoids with ease. Kelvin Shum is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shum tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Shum looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shum tries to clinch but Krukiov is having none of it. Krukiov fails with a takedown attempt. Shum lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Shum digs a good body shot into Krukiov's ribs. Shum throws a monster overhand right that drops Krukiov! Shum follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chevarie jabbing away but nothing is landing. Gaston Chevarie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Deal fails to land the takedown. Deal keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chevarie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Deal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chevarie thows a left - swing and a miss! Chevarie misses with a straight left. Chevarie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Deal shoots in but Chevarie avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chevarie throws a hook but Deal blocks it. Deal throws a leg kick that misses. Deal takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Chevarie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Deal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chevarie as he avoids it easily. Gaston Chevarie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Deal. Deal steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chevarie. Chevarie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Deal staying out of range there. Deal shoots in for a takedown but Chevarie shows good takedown defense. Chevarie throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Deal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Chevarie fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Deal square on the jaw! Damn, Deal is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sol tries for a takedown but Neztil sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Neztil shoots in for a takedown but Sol shows good takedown defense. Sol shoots in but no luck this time. Neztil looks for a takedown but Sol sprawls well. Neztil tries to clinch up but Sol circles away and keeps his distance. Sol closes this distance looking for a takedown but Neztil circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for YB Sol. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sol fails to land the takedown. Neztil is looking to clinch. Sol wants to clinch. Sol clinches up with Neztil and pushes him back against the cage. Sol goes for a takedown in the clinch but Neztil prevents it.
Neztil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice sprawl there from Neztil as Sol shoots in. Sol will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sol takes the fight into the clinch. Neztil gets a trip takedown into half guard. Sol scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Neztil manages to mount him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Neztil thowing shots but they're missing. Sol is trying to reverse the position but instead Neztil has taken his back - oops! Neztil not allowing Sol to control his hands. I really don't envy Sol right now.
Sol is working hard here to advance position. Sol turns into Neztil and is now in his guard.
Sol looking to pass the guard. Sol sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sol in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Neztil keeping full guard, as Sol tries to pass.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Nice jab there from Sol. Neztil moves out of range as Sol strikes. Neztil gets a takedown into half guard. Neztil is thwarting Sol's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sol trying to get back to full guard but Neztil takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sol is looking to get to half guard. Sol slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Neztil is thwarting Sol's attempts to control the position. Neztil prevents Sol from improving his position. Sol is looking to control Neztil's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sol avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sol works his way to full guard. Good work. Sol working for submissions but it's allowed Neztil to get to half guard.
Sol looking for submissions off his back. Neztil lands with a punch from half guard. Neztil is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Neztil not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mij Neztil dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sol shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sol was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Neztil holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sol tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Sol landing shots from mount. Neztil wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Sol biding his time, controlling Neztil. Sol is looking for the choke from the back position but Neztil is controlling his hands well. You can see the frustration on Neztil's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Sol controlling the positon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sol sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Neztil taps out!
