The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bannion tries to close the distance and clinch up but Toughguy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Toughguy looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Bannion throws a head kick but Toughguy moves out of range.

Toughguy swats away the attempt to clinch by Bannion. Bannion lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Toughguy circles away from the clinch attempt.

It looks like Secada Toughguy has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bannion tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Toughguy swats away the attempt to clinch by Bannion. Bannion pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bannion circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Toughguy drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bannion follows Toughguy to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzo darts in and clinches Mastracone up against the cage. Mastracone fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mastracone. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Rizzo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rizzo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Carlo Mastracone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rizzo tries to clinch up but Mastracone circles away and keeps his distance. Rizzo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Rizzo throws a lazy head kick and Mastracone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mastracone walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Rizzo forces Mastracone back against the cage and clinches.

Andrews lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A chopping leg kick lands by Baikov. Andrews is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Baikov throws a combination that misses and Andrews counters with a left to the body. Andrews scores with a nice right hand.
Andrews scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Baikov doesn't seem bothered though. Baikov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Andrews to score with a decent uppercut. Andrews lands a nice shot that snaps Baikov's head back.
Baikov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Andrews as he jumps to the side. Andrews uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Baikov. Andrews fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Baikov throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Baikov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Baikov takes one to the chin there. Baikov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hope tries to clinch up but Ramirez circles away and keeps his distance. Nice takedown defense from Ramirez. No joy for Hope on that attempt. Ramirez on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hope scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ramirez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hope's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hope's back! You can see the frustration on Hope's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Grind is working an open guard so Cranka takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Cranka moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Cranka. Grind could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Grind is breathing heavily. Cranka throws a head kick but Grind moves out of range.

Cranka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grind looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cranka in side control lands a decent elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grind is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Cranka cracks Grind with a big elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cranka working the head and body with strikes. Cranka working the ground and pound. Grind tries to buck Cranka off but Cranka is having none of it. Cranka connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Grind some visible discomfort.
