Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Walley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lord Vladimir! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vladimir comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Walley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vladimir fails in his attempt to clinch. Walley misses with a head kick.
Vladimir throws a right and a left that both miss. Vladimir wants to clinch up but Walley keeps it at a distance. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vladimir. Walley gets caught flat footed, as Vladimir shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Vladimir not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Walley throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Vladimir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vladimir stands up from guard. Let's bang! Vladimir lands a high kick!
Left hook, right uppercut from Vladimir. Vladimir looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Vladimir connects with a single shot there. Vladimir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walley paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vladimir closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vladimir lands in his opponent's guard. Vladimir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Vladimir sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vladimir's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Vladimir looking to pass the guard. Vladimir is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Walley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vladimir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vladimir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Walley is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vladimir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Walley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Walley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Vladimir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Walley has his foot on Vladimir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vladimir works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vladimir stands up and waves to Walley to follow him. Vladimir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Walley to the mat! Walley manages to get full guard. Vladimir seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Vladimir wanted to stand there but Walley had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vladimir controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Vladimir stands up and waves to Walley to follow him. Vladimir moves in looking to clinch but Walley pushes him off. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walley takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Vladimir scores with a jab. Vladimir closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lord Vladimir dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vladimir gets a takedown into half guard. Walley gets full guard. Walley keeping full guard, as Vladimir tries to pass. Vladimir tries to stand but Walley is controlling from the bottom. Vladimir trying to control the position from guard on top but Walley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walley lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vladimir! Vladimir defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Walley.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Walley wants to finish this one by submission but Vladimir is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Walley. Vladimir tries to reverse the position but Walley maintains control. Walley with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Vladimir is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Walley tries to push Vladimir's head away but Vladimir is holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vladimir is looking to improve his position but Walley isn't that keen on the idea. Vladimir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Walley with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Lord Vladimir has got the better of the ground game so far. Vladimir somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Vladimir feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Walley is looking for a triangle but Vladimir pushes his legs off easily.

Vladimir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vladimir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vladimir gets to his feet - Walley follows without any prompting.

Vladimir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Vladimir takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Walley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Walley is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Vladimir pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lord Vladimir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Vladimir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vladimir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Vladimir lands with some strikes. Vladimir dominating with strikes here. Walley is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vladimir jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Walley manages to avoid the submission attempt. Vladimir content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Vladimir fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walley is trying to get back to half guard. Walley is working hard here to advance position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Vladimir tries to clinch up but Walley circles away and keeps his distance. Walley gets caught flat footed, as Vladimir shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Vladimir looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Walley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Walley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vladimir cracks Walley with a solid left hand. Walley looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vladimir passes into side control.
Walley is looking to reverse the position. Vladimir happy to just control the position for now. Vladimir working the body and head with strikes. Walley is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vladimir off and has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walley working for a choke but Vladimir is defending well. Walley is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Vladimir defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Walley's arms. Walley is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Vladimir knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Vladimir for a finish. Jack Walley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walley is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Walley working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Walley tightening his grip on Vladimir, looking for the choke. Lord Vladimir is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Walley is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Vladimir is defending well though. Walley let's go of the attempt for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Lord Vladimir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vladimir has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cox connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Stevens! He's out on his feet! Cox rushes in and drops Stevens with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pellini works over Freedom's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Chip Freedom has been cut. Freedom throws a sloppy head kick and Pellini moves out of range easily. Freedom loads up on a big right hand but Pellini slips the punch. Freedom throws a series of punches but Pellini moves out of range. A combination from Pellini does no damage. Pellini lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Freedom backs up against the cage.
Chip Freedom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pellini misses with a double jab.
Freedom cracks Pellini with a right hand to the side of the head. Freedom misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pellini slips under a jab from Freedom. Pellini chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Freedom can pounce on him.

Freedom feints and then cracks Pellini's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pellini down. Freedom throws a sloppy head kick and Pellini moves out of range easily. Freedom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pellini. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Freedom lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pellini has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pellini and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Freedom tries a head kick but it misses.
Freedom throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pellini stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Freedom throws a quick inside leg kick. Pellini misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pellini scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Freedom lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Pellini is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pellini is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Freedom. Freedom throws a series of strikes that have Pellini backpedaling.

Freedom gets a clinch. Freedom has Pellini pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Freedom pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pellini tumbling to the mat - Freedom dives into Pellini's guard. Freedom trying to control but Pellini is working from the bottom. Pellini is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pellini has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Freedom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Freedom missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Pellini tries to reverse the position but Freedom maintains control.

Pellini takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A kick lands to the mid section there for Freedom. Freedom is looking to slow Pellini down with leg kicks. Freedom thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pellini if he has to take too many more of those.
Freedom cracks Pellini with a right hand to the side of the head. Chip Freedom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Freedom connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Tchulle Pellini is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Chip Freedom seems to be getting the better of the standup. Freedom works Pellini's body with a nice hook. Freedom bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pellini's head backwards. Freedom swings for the body but Pellini moves out of range.

and Freedom counters with a low kick, right behind Pellini 's knee. Freedom throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pellini's head. Freedom fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pellini looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Freedom pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Freedom is looking to slow Pellini down with leg kicks. Freedom throws a sloppy head kick and Pellini moves out of range easily. Pellini with a poor takedown and Freedom makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Freedom lands with a slapping head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Freedom sizes up Pellini with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Freedom lands a really nice looking cross but Pellini seems unphased.
Pellini is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Pellini throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Freedom. Pellini falls off balance throwing a combination
and Freedom counters with a lovely straight right hand! Freedom looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Freedom gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Freedom pulls guard effortlessly. Pellini trying to control the position from guard on top but Freedom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pellini passes Freedom's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Freedom moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Freedom manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
BOOM! Freedom connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Freedom tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pellini just stands there and leans against the cage. Freedom scores with a shoulder strike. Freedom prevents Pellini from breaking the clinch. Freedom breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Little Grasshopper has been cut. Reefer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Reefer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Reefer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Reefer drops Grasshopper with a right and a left! Reefer comes rushing in but Grasshopper regains his composure and manages to keep Reefer in guard.
