Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Hayabusa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Johnstone! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnstone is looking to clinch. Jimmy Johnstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hayabusa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Some wild striking there from Johnstone.
Johnstone throws a series of punches but Hayabusa avoids them all with ease. Hayabusa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Johnstone. Johnstone misses with a two punch combination.
Hayabusa blocks a low kick nicely. Johnstone shoots in for a double leg but Hayabusa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No joy there for Johnstone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hayabusa has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hayabusa throws an elbow that misses.

Hayabusa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hayabusa tries to clinch but Johnstone moves away and Johnstone counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hayabusa! Johnstone moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hayabusa has worked his arm free - good work by Hayabusa!
Johnstone looks gassed! Johnstone thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hayabusa struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayabusa is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Johnstone is controlling him well. Johnstone working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Johnstone working away. Johnstone trying to control the action but Hayabusa is working from the bottom. Hayabusa is trying to control Johnstone's posture but Johnstone avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnstone goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hayabusa rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Johnstone's guard! Nice work there by Hayabusa! Hayabusa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hayabusa tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnstone is retaining full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hayabusa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Johnstone gets full guard. Johnstone is trying to keep Hayabusa in close.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Johnstone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hayabusa stands up and waves to Johnstone to follow him. The fight stays on the outside here - Hayabusa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johnstone swats away the attempt to clinch by Hayabusa. Johnstone throws a right hand that Hayabusa ducks under and follows up with a left that Hayabusa also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryu Hayabusa will probably get the nod. That's time! Hayabusa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Johnstone with a lazy takedown attempt and Hayabusa counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hayabusa. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Johnstone wants to stand and escape but Hayabusa is having none of it. Hayabusa wants to get up but he can't break Johnstone's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Johnstone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Johnstone has his foot on Hayabusa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hayabusa works his way back into a safe position though. Johnstone is breathing heavily. Johnstone has a closed guard, preventing Hayabusa from standing up. Johnstone has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hayabusa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Johnstone.

A head kick by Hayabusa misses and Johnstone counters with a body kick. Hayabusa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hayabusa decides to stand back up. Hayabusa steps back and let's Johnstone get back to his feet. Hayabusa lands a head kick!

Johnstone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hayabusa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnstone keeps working. Johnstone is looking to control Hayabusa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnstone avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnstone looking for submissions off his back. Hayabusa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hayabusa decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnstone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Johnstone trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayabusa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hayabusa controls Johnstone momentarily but Johnstone frees himself. Johnstone with a nice head shot there. Johnstone wants to control from the top but Hayabusa keeps moving. Ryu Hayabusa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Johnstone stands and throws Hayabusa's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryu Hayabusa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Johnstone. Hayabusa misses with an elbow over the top. Hayabusa lands a nice knee to the body. Hayabusa misses with an elbow strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnstone has got his arm under Hayabusa's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Hayabusa has spun round into Johnstone's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Hayabusa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Johnstone pulls down on the head and he's put Hayabusa to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Crocop. That one must have hurt. Crocop tries a head kick but it misses.

King throws a head kick that misses and Crocop counters with a head kick that drops King! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crocop throwing strikes but missing. Crocop looking to sit in guard and control but King gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Crocop looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
King is working Crocop over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. King shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. King misses with a wild body shot. Crocop throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily. Crocop uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
Crocop lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. King lunges at Crocop with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Crocop's hand. King throws a body punch but Crocop moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Terry King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Oh lands in his opponent's guard. Oh tries to free his leg and advance position but Jay is retaining full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jay working for a triangle but Oh defends it easily.
Oh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jay works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jay is looking for a triangle but Oh pushes his legs off easily.
Oh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jay swivels though and keeps the full guard. Oh stopping the sweep attempt from Jay. Jay keeping full guard, as Oh tries to pass. Oh is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jay has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Oh is looking to defend but Jay has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Oh! Jay pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Oh taps out and this one is all over!

It looks like Hiroshi Hatayama has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Garcia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hatayama moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Garcia swinging wilding here.

Garcia flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Hiroshi Hatayama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hatayama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Jaatinen does no damage. Aronoff takes one to the side of the head.
