The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maximus misses with the combination.
Maximus drops RicO with a nice combination! Maximus dives into RicO's guard, looking to finish!
RicO is rocked!
It looks like SPideR RicO has been cut. RicO has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maximus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. RicO is still in real trouble! Can Maximus finish him? RicO working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maximus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maximus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Maximus is looking to stand up but RicO won't let him. RicO seems to have recovered his senses. RicO working for a triangle but Maximus defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. RicO had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Maximus is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. RicO Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Maximus's back instead. Maximus takes a big shot to the side of the head.

RicO working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. RicO throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Maximus works some decent striking defense from the bottom. RicO throwing strikes but missing. RicO throwing strikes from guard but Maximus blocks nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Maximus gets a clinch. Maximus is pressed up against the cage. RicO has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maximus down to the mat. Maximus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. RicO slips a nice elbow through Maximus's hands, connecting with Maximus's forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. RicO sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Maximus defending well though. RicO is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
SPideR RicO has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! RicO seems to be working for a kimura but Maximus defends the submission attempt. Maximus blocking the ground and pound attempt from RicO.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oakenhorse shoots in and bounces Eeter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Oakenhorse advances position into side control! Oakenhorse is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eeter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Oakenhorse landing strikes. Oakenhorse tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Oakenhorse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Eeter is looking to reverse the position. Ward escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chase tries to clinch but Ward moves out of range.
