Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sugar Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sugar Cane! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster darts in and clinches Cane up against the cage. Cane is trying to drag Foster to the mat but Foster just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Foster manages to pull guard.
Foster trying to control the position.
Cane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cane won't allow Foster to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Foster can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cane controls the pace. Foster working for a triangle but Cane defends it easily.
Cane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane looking to sit in guard and control but Foster gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Foster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Foster showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Foster wants to pass the guard but Cane is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cane trying to control the position here. Foster wants to pass the guard but Cane is keeping the position. Foster won't allow Cane to sweep him here. Cane managing to control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Foster postures up and lands a big shot to Cane's brow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster gets to his feet - Cane follows without any prompting. Cane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Foster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cane looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Foster keeping moving, preventing Cane from controlling successfully.

Cane throws a right hand that Foster ducks under and follows up with a left that Foster also avoids with ease. Cane closes the distance but Foster moves to the side and Foster counters with a single leg into guard. Cane didn't expect that. Foster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Foster trying to control but Cane is working from the bottom. Cane keeping full guard, as Foster tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane wants to hit a switch here but Foster passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cane there! Foster trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cane tries to improve his position but Foster has taken his back! Foster has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Cane tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Foster pushes Cane away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson forces baired back against the cage and clinches. Henderson decides to pull guard. Henderson keeping moving, preventing baired from controlling successfully. baired trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Henderson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Henderson is trying to control the position but baired postures up. baired preventing the sweep. baired trying to control but Henderson is working from the bottom. baired will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. baired drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and baired jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

baired is trying to get back to his feet but Henderson has full control of the position and if anything, baired has just worked his way into a worse spot. Henderson controlling from the back. baired defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Henderson's arms.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson is cranking baired's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for baired! He's tightened the choke and baired is tapping out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silverman tries to land a leg kick but Tennent saw it coming and moves away.
Nice shot by Silverman. Tennent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tennent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silverman. A low kick from Tennent misses and Silverman counters with a left to the body. Tennent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silverman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tennent is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silverman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tennent defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silverman is taking a breather. Tennent says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tennent is defending against the submission attempts here by Silverman.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silverman moves into full mount! Tennent won't be happy about that! Silverman throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Silverman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Let's hope that Silverman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nice uppercut there from Silverman. Tennent doesn't succeed with the takedown and Silverman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Good shot there by Silverman. Tennent clinches but Silverman breaks the clinch and Silverman counters with a stiff right hand. Silverman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silverman closes the distance and clinches up with Tennent, looking for a takedown. Silverman pushes Tennent against the cage but Tennent circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Silverman lands with a nice body punch. Silverman shoots in from a long way out. Fred Silverman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Tennent shoots and misses and Silverman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tennent misses with a takedown and Silverman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tennent won't be happy with that. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Tennent is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silverman controlling from side mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silverman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tennent's shoulder. That is not cool. Silverman in side control lands a decent elbow. Tennent is looking for a sweep. Silverman working the ground and pound but Tennent is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silverman moves into full mount! Silverman controlling the position easily from mount.

Silverman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tennent can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

And that's the end of the fight! Fred Silverman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Silverman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross lands a glancing blow to the side of Ketchum's head. Cross fails with a takedown attempt. Cross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cross throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ketchum sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ketchum keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cross. Ketchum tries to clinch there but Cross circles away.
Cross has Ketchum up against the cage in a clinch.
Ketchum is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ketchum wants to break the clinch but can't.

Cross breaks the clinch.
Cross looks to land a left hand but Ketchum moved out of range nicely. Ketchum tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cross swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cross misses with a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Cross misses. Cross throws a right and a left that Ketchum avoids nicely. Ketchum tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cross paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cross on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ketchum. Ketchum obviously looking to wear him down.
Cross looks gassed! Cross tries to bum rush Ketchum with a series of wild strikes but Ketchum uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cross looks to land a combination but Ketchum avoids it well. Ketchum rushes Cross and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ketchum clinches but Cross breaks the clinch and Cross counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ketchum has his feet on Cross's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Dante Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ketchum doesn't manage to clinch there - Cross circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ketchum moves into the clinch. Ketchum breaks the clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ketchum. That's going to slow Cross down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ketchum clinches with his opponent.
Cross tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ketchum smiles and moves away.
Ketchum closes the distance but Cross moves to the side and Cross counters with a two punch combo. Ketchum pushes Cross up against the cage in a clinch. Still in the clinch, Ketchum scores with a nice short uppercut. Cross has Ketchum pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ketchum manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Ash Ketchum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Cross. Nice body punch from Ketchum - that landed with a thud.
Ketchum is trying to break free. Ketchum lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Ketchum.
Cross keeps control of Ketchum as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ketchum wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cross has him pressed against the cage. Ketchum has had enough of the clinch but Cross keeps him there for the moment.

Ketchum rushes Cross and presses him up against the cage. Cross prevents Ketchum from breaking the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ketchum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ketchum fails in his attempt to clinch. Ketchum closes the distance but Cross moves to the side and Cross counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ash Ketchum will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ketchum tries to clinch up. Cross swats away the attempt to clinch by Ketchum. Ketchum avoids the head kick by Cross.

It looks like Rick Flare has been cut. Reimer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Rudd stuffs the takedown attempt from Gee. Gee gets slowly back to his feet. Rudd fails with the takedown and Gee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rudd circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rudd should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Rudd misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rudd lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Gee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gee cracks Rudd with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
