The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slice loads up on a big right hand but Carwin slips the punch. Nice combo by Carwin! Oh, that's hurt him - Slice falls to the canvas and Carwin follows him into side control. Slice tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carwin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carwin wants to stand but Slice has his arm trapped. Slice tries to strike but it doesn't land. Carwin trying to control the position but Slice is working away. Carwin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Slice some visible discomfort.
Carwin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slice keeps working.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carwin wants to clinch up but Slice keeps it at a distance. Carwin tries to clinch but Slice moves out of range. Carwin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Carwin tries to break the clinch but Slice is controlling the position. Slice is trying to drag Carwin to the mat but Carwin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Slice has Carwin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carwin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Slice is trying to drag Carwin to the mat but Carwin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimbo Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carwin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slice circles away from the clinch attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos works over kane's head and body with a nice combination. Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. kane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santos to the mat! Santos manages to get full guard. kane wants to pass the guard but Santos is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos seems keen to control kane's posture. kane tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard. Santos throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! kane escapes and throws Santos's legs to the side, diving into side control! kane looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. kane decides to stand back up. kane steps back and let's Santos get back to his feet. kane takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Santos swings for the body but kane moves out of range.
kane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but kane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Santos tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos gets caught flat footed, as kane shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. kane is breathing heavily. Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. kane postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Santos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of kane, into his guard. Santos pushing down on kane's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Santos is pressing down on kane's thigh, looking to free his foot. kane is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. kane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Santos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Santos's back! Santos looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Santos is trying to get back to his feet but kane has full control of the position and if anything, Santos has just worked his way into a worse spot. kane working for the choke. Santos rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Santos is trying to stand back up but kane is controlling him
Santos manages to escape and get back to his feet! Santos wants to clinch up but kane keeps it at a distance. Santos throws a sloppy head kick and kane moves out of range easily. Santos throws a half hearted mid kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! kane is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Santos takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Santos decides to stand up. Santos wants to clinch up but kane keeps it at a distance. He can't get it on this occasion though. Santos has had enough of the clinch but kane keeps him there for the moment. kane wants a takedown but no success here.
Santos has dropped down and is working for a takedown. kane is trying to keep an underhook but Santos manages to get the takedown into half guard. Santos not landing any meaningful shots this time. kane wants to get back to full guard but Santos has mounted him! Santos controlling from mount. Santos cracks kane with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

John Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Santos misses with a takedown and kane counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Santos wants to stand and escape but kane is having none of it. kane throws a big right hand that misses. kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. kane scores with a decent looking elbow strike. kane gets to his feet. Santos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Santos wants to control from the top but kane keeps moving. Santos wants to stand but kane is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. kane wriggles free and stands up. Santos closes the distance looking to clinch and kane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by kane. Santos gets underhooks to prevent kane's takedown attempt.

He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. win has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McBrody is really squeezing tight and eventually win passes out! Slice follows him down to the mat - Curtis regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Slice uses his free foot to push down on Curtis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Curtis. Oh Curtis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Slice postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Curtis in real trouble here! The ref calls for Curtis to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Soprano tries for a takedown but Kesler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Soprano slips a jab from Kesler. Soprano tries for a takedown but Kesler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ryan Kesler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Soprano. Soprano closes the distance and clinches up with Kesler, looking for a takedown. Soprano pushes Kesler against the cage but Kesler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Soprano shoots in looking for a takedown. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cullen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cullen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva actively working from the bottom here. Cullen trying to control the pace.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cullen sitting in guard here, content to control. Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cullen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cullen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cullen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cullen's back instead. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cullen rolls, trying to escape but Silva keeps control of the position.
Silva goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Cullen escapes and is now in half guard on top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliver stacks Jaeger on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Oliver! Oliver works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Oliver grinds an elbow into Jaeger's temple. Jaeger sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jaeger is refusing to be controlled, as Oliver sits in half guard. Oliver seems to be working for a kimura but Jaeger defends the submission attempt. Jaeger is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Oliver pulls his head out easily.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Oliver is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are battling for position here. Jaeger manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jaeger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jaeger working for a triangle but Oliver defends it easily.
