The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuklinski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Kuklinski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Griffin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kuklinski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kuklinski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kuklinski!

Kuklinski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Kuklinski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Acton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zach Bach!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton shoots for a takedown but Bach saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bach looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Acton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Acton is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Acton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Acton is keen to just control but Bach is a slippery customer.

Acton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Acton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bach does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Acton passes the guard and advances to mount!

Acton jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bach is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bach and Acton has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Acton tries to advance to mount but Bach denies him.
Bach regains half guard there - taking advantage of Acton's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Acton is looking to take a break and control but Bach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Acton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bach with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Acton is looking to take a break and control but Bach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bach keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Acton blocks the strikes from Bach.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Acton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bach is fending him off so far but Acton persists. Nope, Bach circles away and we're back to standing.

Acton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Acton is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Acton is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bach keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Acton passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bach!

Acton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bach is surviving well by controlling Acton's body position as best he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bach tries to hold on but Acton pushes him away.
Acton looking to control but Bach is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Acton fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

so Bach counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bach content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Acton has locked up a guillotine! Acton's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bach is holding on here and Acton must be using up a lot of energy. Bach has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Acton gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
