Done tries to clinch there but swanson circles away.

Done wants to lay and pray for a moment but swanson keeps working.

swanson pushes Done off looking to stand but Done dives back in and keeps control.
swanson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Done scores with a couple of nice shots.

swanson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Done rushes swanson and presses him up against the cage.
swanson is looking to break free of the clinch but Done has double underhooks.
Done wants a takedown but no success here.
swanson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Done lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
swanson tries to land knees in the clinch but Done avoids the damage to the body.
Done with an attempt at a knee that misses.
swanson is looking to control Done's arms but Done gets an underhook and turns him. Now swanson has his back to the cage.

Done breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
swanson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
swanson looks gassed!

Done shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Done content just to control the position here.
The referee warns swanson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
swanson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Done. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

swanson is bucking up trying to escape but Done cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Done is landing with some decent strikes but swanson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Done jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but swanson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Done scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at swanson to see if he's OK.

Done is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt swanson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
swanson wants to get back to his feet but Done drags him back down.

Done tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Done has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Done has an Americana. swanson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Done is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Done hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus London (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eriksson comes to the cage accompanied by Requiem For a Dream. London has chosen Cochise, Audioslave as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Eriksson lands with a slapping head kick.
Eriksson misses with a double jab.
Eriksson throws a push kick but London slaps the foot to one side.
London misses with the combination.
London slips under a jab.
Eriksson connects with a high kick.
Eriksson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Donk. Eriksson catches London right on the button with a cross.

and London counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
London tries a low kick but Eriksson avoids it.
London bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Eriksson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed London momentarily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Eriksson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Eriksson lands with a big left! London is wobbled badly! Eriksson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops London to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Mutton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Amos Mutton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mutton drops down looking for an ankle pick but jitsu pulls his leg out and moves away.
jitsu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mutton.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mutton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. jitsu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

jitsu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mutton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. jitsu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mutton's back instead.

jitsu is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. jitsu gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. jitsu gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. jitsu apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Some bone on bone action there as Mutton checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Mueller wants to clinch up but Fletcher keeps it at a distance.

Fletcher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mueller pinned against the cage. Mueller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fing throws a leg kick which misses Modric's front leg but catches the back leg as Modric tries to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Modric takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Fing lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lukasz Modric has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kah Fing is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Fing rushes Modric and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Well Fing has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Austin Lee!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee avoids the body shot from Hawk.
Lee on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hawk throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lee drops his hands momentarily and Hawk takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
A big right from Hawk misses.
Hawk misses with a wild combination.
Hawk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Hawk misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming.
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hawk dives on top into guard.

Lee wants to sweep here but Hawk controlling him for the moment.

Hawk lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Austin Lee has been cut.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee.
Matt Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Lee.

Lee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hawk throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hawk thuds his right hand into Lee's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lee takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hawk scores with a jab to the jaw.

Hawk lands a nice shot to the body.
Nice combo by Hawk! Oh, that's hurt him - Lee falls to the canvas and Hawk follows him into side control.
Lee is still in real trouble! Can Hawk finish him?

Hawk decides to stand back up. Hawk steps back and let's Lee get back to his feet.
Lee gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hawk.
Lee seems to have recovered his senses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hawk throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hawk scores with a nice strike.
Hawk connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lee's hands.
Lee fails with the takedown.
Donk. Hawk catches Lee right on the button with a cross.
Hawk lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hawk looks to land a combination but Lee avoids it well.
Hawk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee.
Hawk tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hawk throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely.

Hawk lands with an uppercut that bounces Lee off the cage and back into rage.
Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hawk.

Hawk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hawk circles away.
Hawk takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hawk scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hawk lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lee takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hawk scores with a jab to the head.
Hawk is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Nice shot lands for Hawk.
Matt Hawk is winning the standup battle so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nice uppercut lands for Hawk. That snapped Lee's head back.
Lee is breathing heavily.

Lee takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A combination from Hawk does no damage.
Hawk lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Lee can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Hawk and Lee drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Hawk.
