The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arudou keeps the fight on the outside. Donaldson fails in his attempt to clinch. Donaldson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Arudou. Arudou lands a jab to Donaldson's midsection. Donaldson scores with a push kick. Donaldson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Arudou fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Donaldson moves out of range of the strikes. Arudou gets the takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Donaldson prevents Arudou from improving position. You can see the frustration on Donaldson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Arudou passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Donaldson! Arudou is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Donaldson is surviving well by controlling Arudou's body position as best he can. Arudou takes Donaldson's back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Donaldson defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Arudou's arms. Arudou has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Donaldson is defending well but eventually Arudou manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Donaldson has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter wants to clinch up but Rock keeps it at a distance. Carter scores with a takedown into Rock's guard. Rock is trying to control the position but Carter postures up. Carter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Carter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rock swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rock scores with a nice shot. Carter controls from within his opponent's guard. Rock looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Carter seems to have locked his on tight now - Rock screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Carter, as he picks up the win!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Seph has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stout's face.
Stout is trying desperately to improve position. Seph working away from the top, dropping strikes. Stout working to try and regain half guard.
Seph controlling from the full mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stout can do anything to dispel that myth. Stout changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seph tries to avoid it but Stout manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seph to the ground. Seph escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Seph with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stout to score with a decent uppercut. Stout gets a takedown into half guard. Stout is stalling here. Seph is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stout seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Seph has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Seph remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Stout takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stout tries to bench press Seph off him but Seph keeps the position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barzakov. Scott does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Barzakov swinging wilding here.
Scott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barzakov. Scott darts in and clinches Barzakov up against the cage. Scott wants the takedown. Barzakov is fighting it off but Scott persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Barzakov's guard against the cage. Barzakov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Scott sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barzakov's guard. Barzakov manages to get to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patrick takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Patrick walks forward, straight into a front kick from Soze. Soze ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Soze fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Patrick. Patrick shoots for a takedown but Soze saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Soze closes the distance and clinches. Soze lands a knee to the head.
Patrick looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Patrick tries to score a body lock takedown but Soze shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Soze scores with a knee to the head.
Patrick is looking to break free of the clinch but Soze has double underhooks. Soze pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Patrick misses with a head kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Soze scores with a four punch combination! Soze connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Patrick momentarily.

Patrick is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nose wants to control from the top but Cox keeps moving. Nose postures up in Cox's guard and throws a big left but Cox blocks it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nose tries to clinch but Cox moves away and Cox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nose dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Nose wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nose has had enough of the clinch but Cox keeps him there for the moment. Cox avoids the elbow strike from Nose, against the cage.
Cox blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Nose tries to work over Cox's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Nose breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cox shoots in but no luck this time. Red Nose has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nose will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cox circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Red Nose. I think Cox has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Veb misses with a series of wild punches.
Bubba gets a takedown into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Veb wants to improve his position but Bubba is controlling well.
Veb actively working from the bottom here. Veb blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bubba. Veb tries to roll over but Bubba keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bubba wants to control but Veb is keeping him busy. Bubba takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bubba working the head and body with strikes.
It looks like BJ Veb has been cut. Veb looking for submissions off his back. Bubba working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That has opened up BJ Veb's cut even more. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bubba throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Boyette rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blizt moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Boyette closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Blizt is refusing to be controlled, as Boyette sits in half guard. Blizt wants to control but Boyette is keeping busy.
Boyette looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boyette is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Blizt tries to close the distance and clinch but Boyette swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Blizt drives through with a takedown into guard. Blizt decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Blizt tries to clinch up but Boyette circles away and keeps his distance. Boyette misses with a body shot.
Boyette takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Boyette looks gassed! Blizt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blizt checks a leg kick nicely. Boyette takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Danny Boyette has been cut. Blizt takes the fight into the clinch. Boyette gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blizt throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Blizt keeping moving, preventing Boyette from controlling successfully. Boyette is working Blizt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Boyette changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blizt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Boyette scores with a couple of short elbows. Boyette wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blizt, who protects the arm well. Boyette landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Blizt tries to buck Boyette off but Boyette is having none of it. Blizt prevents Boyette from moving into mount. No, Blizt has escaped the position, nice work there. Blizt is looking to regain half guard here but Boyette keeps moving and retains side control. Blizt takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Blizt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Blizt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Blizt wants to control but Boyette postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boyette scores with punches from side control. Boyette decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
