Nice uppercut there from Newson.
No joy there for Newson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Newson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Silva bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Newson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jase Newson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Newson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Cranka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bertos fails with the takedown.
Bertos shoots in looking for a takedown. Cranka tries to sprawl out of it but Bertos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cranka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bertos moves out of range as Cranka throws a body kick.
Cranka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bertos shoots for a double leg takedown but Cranka sprawls well. He's pushed Bertos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Neck Cranka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Bertos.
Bertos shoots in but no luck this time.
Cranka lands a nice looking body kick.
Bertos moves in looking to clinch but Cranka pushes him off.
Cranka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cranka throws a head kick but Bertos moves out of range.
Cranka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bertos.
Bertos looks gassed!
A slapping leg kick lands for Cranka.

Cranka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bertos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cranka is looking to take a break and control but Bertos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bertos taking punishment in the form of punches.

Cranka wants to control but Bertos is keeping him busy.
Cranka lands some shots froms side control.
Bertos is not content to let Cranka control the position.
Bertos is trying to improve his position.
Cranka is chipping away with strikes.
Bertos takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Bertos is rocked!
A big shot lands for Cranka! That's hurt Bertos! Will he recover? Cranka fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
