Hammerson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hicks manages to avoid it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mouth moves into the clinch successfully.
Ray tries to break the clinch but Mouth is controlling the position.
Ray is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ray is pressed up against the cage. Mouth has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ray down to the mat. Ray avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ray misses with a series of wild punches.
Ray swats away the attempt to clinch by Mouth.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mouth.
Ezra Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mush Mouth.
Ray misses with a straight right.

Mouth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ray trying desperately to get to his feet.
Ray trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Mouth jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ray manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Mouth working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mouth thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mouth looks gassed!

Ray pushes Mouth away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mouth gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ray scores with a push kick.
Ray throws a head kick that misses.
Mouth closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ray circles away.
Ray bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ray lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ray.
Ray drops Mouth with a nice combination! Ray dives into Mouth's guard, looking to finish!

Mouth is rocked!

It looks like Mush Mouth has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ray gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mouth is still on wobbly legs! Can Ray finish him?
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Ray throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Mouth is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Benoit feints and then cracks Belkofer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Belkofer down.

Benoit pivots, looking for a leg kick but Belkofer is out of range and Benoit settles back down.
Belkofer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Belkofer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Benoit connects with a good right hand that stumbles Belkofer. Belkofer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Belkofer throws a half hearted mid kick.
A low kick from Belkofer is predictable there
and Benoit counters with a nice uppercut.
Benoit throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Belkofer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Benoit rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Belkofer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Benoit misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benoit uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Belkofer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Benoit throws a leg kick but Belkofer sees it coming and moves out of range.

Benoit avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Belkofer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Benoit.
Belkofer throws a wild body kick that Benoit sees coming a mile off.
Belkofer tries a head kick but it misses.
Belkofer connects with a solid leg kick.
Belkofer throws out a leg kick but Benoit moves out of range and Belkofer only half commits.
Benoit throws a series of strikes that have Belkofer backpedaling.
Benoit digs a good body shot into Belkofer's ribs.

Benoit cracks Belkofer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

David Belkofer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Benoit misses with a two punch combination.
Some bone on bone action there as Belkofer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Benoit connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Benoit throws a leg kick which misses Belkofer's front leg but catches the back leg as Belkofer tries to avoid it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at David Belkofer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
