The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Hoppus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hoppus throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hoppus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva wants to clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rex Silva.
Well Hoppus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Say.
Say chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sirovica avoids the head kick by Say.
Say fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Mehmet Sirovica has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sirovica gets a takedown into half guard.

Sirovica is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Sirovica is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Say doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sirovica.

Sirovica tries to pass to full mount but Say defends it.

Say kicks off Sirovica and gets to his feet.
Say buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Say throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Sirovica stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Say follows into mount!

Sirovica is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Say misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Sirovica can't escape the position.
Say sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Say has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Say is in the full mount, landing strikes.

That has opened up Mehmet Sirovica's cut even more.
Say looking to control and managing it successfully.
Sirovica is looking to improve his position but Say isn't that keen on the idea.
Say controlling the position easily from mount.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sirovica keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Say trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The referee stands the fighters back up. JB Say just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Say clobbers Sirovica with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Mehmet Sirovica's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mehmet Sirovica's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
