The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
zulu tries a head kick but it misses.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lewis has a takedown stuffed.
Jacobs scores with a nice right hand.

It looks like Craig Lewis has been cut.
Lewis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jacobs.
Jacobs dips to his left and cracks Lewis with an uppercut!
Lewis shoots in looking for a takedown. Jacobs tries to sprawl out of it but Lewis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Jacobs manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacobs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jacobs drops Lewis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lewis looks back up at him and smiles so Jacobs waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horatio Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacobs feints and then cracks Lewis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lewis down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
