Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naor Yozem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sims kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Enter Sandman . Yozem comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Chris Cornell - You Know My Name kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yozem throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Yozem keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sims fails to land the takedown.

Yozem closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Yozem moves into full mount! Sims won't be happy about that!

Yozem goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sims is on top in guard.

Griffin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Evans doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Griffin.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Griffin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Evans can do anything to dispel that myth.
Evans's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Evans is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Griffin locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Evans is forced to tap!
