0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brandon Vega! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vega fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vega wants to clinch up but Porrieste keeps it at a distance. Vega tries to clinch up but Porrieste circles away and keeps his distance. Vega gets caught flat footed, as Porrieste shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Porrieste won't allow Vega to get back to his feet. Porrieste trying to control but Vega is working from the bottom. Porrieste is really struggling to control Vega but he's trying to hold on to the position. Vega wants to get back to his feet but Porrieste is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Porrieste gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Porrieste shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Porrieste showed some decent athleticism there. Porrieste performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Vega is looking to get back to is feet but Porrieste passes into side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Porrieste wants to control from the top but Vega keeps moving.

Wentworth stuffs the takedown attempt from dos Santos. dos Santos gets slowly back to his feet. dos Santos steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wentworth. That one must have hurt. Al Wentworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Wentworth misses its intended target. dos Santos has a takedown stuffed. dos Santos shoots for a takedown but Wentworth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Meatballs gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Byson counters with a series of strikes. Meatballs will be more careful next time no doubt. Meatballs shoots and misses and Byson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Meatballs thinking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Byson misses with a few strikes there.
Kraven Meatballs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Byson stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kraven Meatballs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Byson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meatballs moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Meatballs misses with a wild body shot. Byson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Byson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Byson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Byson throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Meatballs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Byson's waist but Byson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Meatballs off to one side. Byson looks to land a combination but Meatballs avoids it well. Meatballs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byson tries to avoid it but Meatballs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Byson to the ground. Byson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Meatballs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Byson swivels and escapes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meatballs with a poor takedown and Byson counters with a left and a right that stings Meatballs.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Byson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Byson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Dowd with that takedown attempt. Dowd swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mbugua throws a head kick that misses. Mbugua misses with a series of wild punches.
Mbugua moves into the clinch. Mbugua scores with an uppercut up the middle. Dowd wants a takedown but no success here.
Mbugua prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wellen Dowd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mbugua has Dowd pushed against the cage. Mbugua lands a body punch in the clinch. Dowd is trying to trip Mbugua. He has hold of a leg but Mbugua is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dowd persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dowd is looking to work some ground and pound but Mbugua has wrist control. Dowd wants to control from the top but Mbugua keeps moving. Dowd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mbugua swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dowd throws a big right hand that misses. Dowd has gone for a leg lock! Mbugua slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dowd's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mbugua won't allow Dowd to sweep him here. Dowd working for a triangle but Mbugua defends it easily.
Dowd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mbugua is one step ahead there. Mbugua trying to control the position from guard on top but Dowd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mbugua working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dowd manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mbugua slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dowd works his way into full mount! Dowd prevents Mbugua from getting the reversal. Dowd looking to control but Mbugua is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Dowd lands a big elbow. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mbugua taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dowd landing strikes, looking to finish! Mbugua working to try and regain half guard.
Dowd unloading with bombs! Dowd lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Dowd putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Dowd looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adeleye throws a hook to the side of Bourque's head but Bourque sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Adeleye waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Bourque. Bourque misses with a series of wild punches.
Adeleye looks for the body kick but Bourque saw that one coming. Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bourque lands with a right hand.
It looks like Nelson Adeleye has been cut. Adeleye on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Adeleye is rocked! Adeleye takes a shot right to the bread basket. Adeleye is still on wobbly legs! Can Bourque finish him? Adeleye looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bourque closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Adeleye out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
