I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that damian tyrer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sherk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Sherk is working for a kimura but tyrer is defending it quite comfortably.
tyrer is trying to maintain the position but Sherk is very close to passing his half guard.

Sherk looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sherk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but tyrer sees it coming and defends easily.

Sherk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sherk looking for a guillotine here but tyrer defends easily.

tyrer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sherk dives on top into guard.

The ref rips Hawkins off and cradles tyrer's limp body as Hawkins celebrates with his corner.

AMBROSE throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Kid colapses and takes a barrage of punches from AMBROSE as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Kid is left battered and dazed whilst AMBROSE and his camp cheer!

McCarel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dean is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McCarel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dean's back instead.

That was a close second round but I would say that Simon Shaw will probably get the nod.
