Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Choo Xiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Tilapia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiao lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tilapia circles away quickly and effectively.
Xiao throws a series of punches but Tilapia avoids them all with ease.
Xiao misses with a series of wild punches.
Xiao throws a nice looking combination but Tilapia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Xiao displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Xiao throws out a powerful jab.
Horrible takedown by Tilapia or perhaps it was just good defense by Xiao which made him look bad.

Tilapia walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Choo Xiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Xiao turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tilapia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Xiao but Xiao pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Xiao clobbers Tilapia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Tilapia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Xiao tries to avoid it but Tilapia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Xiao to the ground. Xiao escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Tilapia might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Xiao has got the better of the exchanges.
Xiao will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Morita manages to work his way to half guard, despite Galloway's best efforts.

Morita is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Galloway pulls his head out easily.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gee AsPee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
