Makharov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Guti stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Guti. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Makharov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Makharov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Guti is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Makharov frees his head nicely. Oh but Guti has switched to an armbar! Makharov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Kid isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Riddell stacks Kid on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Riddell!

Kid closes the distance and clinches up with Riddell, looking for a takedown. Kid pushes Riddell against the cage but Riddell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Riddell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kid will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kid fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kid gets caught flat footed, as Riddell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Riddell passes Kid's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kid is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Still in half guard, Riddell seems content to control.

Kid is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Riddell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Riddell's back!

Kid is working for a rear naked choke. Riddell is not defending it well and Kid has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Riddell refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Riddell's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
