The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kostaja drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Honda is looking for a triangle but Kostaja pushes his legs off easily.

Kostaja drops back looking for a leg! Honda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Honda manages to kick Kostaja off! Kostaja jumps back into Honda's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Honda has eaten all the pies!

Kostaja with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Kostaja goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Honda is on top in guard.

Kostaja has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Honda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Honda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kostaja swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kostaja had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Honda is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kostaja Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Honda's back instead.

Huima Kostaja overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
