The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mendez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Winner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mendez sprawls well initially but Winner persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Winner postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mendez to stand up. Winner lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Dan Mendez has been cut. Winner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Winner pushes Mendez up against the cage in a clinch. Mendez misses with some punches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Winner tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A chopping leg kick lands by Mendez. A head kick misses from Winner. A clash of legs there as Mendez blocks the low kick. Mendez shoots in and drives through. Winner sprawls well. Ross Winner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Mendez. Mendez tries for a takedown but Winner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Winner doesn't manage to clinch there - Mendez circles away.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Winner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mendez shoots for a double leg takedown but Winner sprawls well. He's pushed Mendez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Winner darts in and clinches Mendez up against the cage. Winner lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Winner landing some nice looking knees to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mendez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Winner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendez tries to avoid it but Winner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendez to the ground. Mendez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Winner misses with a wild combination.

Winner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mendez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Winner manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Winner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mendez has worked his arm free - good work by Mendez!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ross Winner. Well Winner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Bravo seems to have locked his on tight now - Machida screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bravo, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dark scores with a nice strike. Dark stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet. A combination from Dark does no damage. Nathan Dark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dark as he avoids it easily. Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dark as he jumps to the side. Nathan Dark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Brown. A decent looking body kick lands there for Dark. Dark stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet. Dark lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Dark knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground. Dark landing strikes, looking to finish! Dark is going olschool here, as he tries to force Brown to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brown shrugs it off.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dark cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This has been an exciting period of action! Dark lands a big shot there that rocks Brown but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Brown is bucking up trying to escape but Dark cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Brown is trying desperately to improve position. Dark unloading with bombs! Dark working the ground and pound effectively.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dark counters with a nice kick to the body. Dark scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Dark sits in half guard. Dark lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dark looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dark lands strikes from half guard. Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dark's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dark's back! Dark holding both Brown 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown missing with strikes. Brown missing with strikes. Dark turns into Brown and is now in his guard.
Brown had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dark is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brown Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dark's back instead. Brown has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dark has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dark rolls, trying to escape but Brown keeps control of the position.
Nathan Dark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brown has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Dark is in real trouble here. Brown gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Dark is tapping out! Brown wins by rear naked choke!

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. boy clinches with his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to de liver by Mcloud. Beautiful body shot. Mcloud tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nsembo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nsembo throws out a loose jab but Mcloud uses good head movement to avoid it. Nsembo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcloud circles away quickly and effectively. Nsembo misses with a series of wild punches.
Mcloud throws a left that rocks Nsembo and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Mcloud dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Nsembo regain composure!

It looks like Waranhk Nsembo has been cut. Nsembo is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mcloud remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Oh Nsembo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcloud's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Nsembo seems to have got his legs back now. Mcloud stands up and we're back to a striking position.
