O Reilly feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagurski lands a slapping body shot.
Mbuto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nagurski.
Mbuto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nagurski's waist but Nagurski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mbuto off to one side.

Nagurski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mbuto on the side of the head.

It looks like George Mbuto has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nagurski tries to escape but Mbuto is in control.

Mbuto tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Nagurski pushes Mbuto away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mbuto gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Nagurski tries to escape back to his feet but Mbuto has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Nagurski's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Nagurski is tapping! Mbuto saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
