The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCool throws a right hand that Russell ducks under and follows up with a left that Russell also avoids with ease.

McCool decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

McCool jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Russell manages to avoid the submission attempt.

McCool has hold of Russell's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Russell tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - McCool cranks the arm and Russell screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Russell, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

That was a close round but I would say that Stoneface McGillicutty will probably get the nod.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lloyd Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henson's entrance music is Highway To Hell By ACDC. A fine choice. Christmas has chosen Mocking Bird as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Lloyd Christmas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
