The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Melvin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reiser, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Diaz passes Dolan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Dolan has hold of Diaz's hands but Diaz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Dolan is refusing to be controlled, as Diaz sits in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Dolan's temple. Diaz is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Diaz putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Samson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Matthews knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Matthews for a finish.

"I'm sorry" says Matthews. Samson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Samson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Matthews is now in Samson's guard. A big mistake from Samson there, giving up the dominant position!
