Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lemec Pacool! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey McKee! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacool stuffs the takedown attempt from McKee. McKee gets slowly back to his feet. McKee tries for a takedown but Pacool sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McKee misses with a head kick.
Pacool gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and McKee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McKee. McKee prevents Pacool from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pacool trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. McKee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. McKee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pacool swivels though and keeps the full guard. McKee has gone for a leg lock! Pacool slips out almost immediately though and dives into McKee's guard. McKee looking for a sweep. Not yet McKee, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McKee is looking for a triangle but Pacool pushes his legs off easily.
McKee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McKee throws his legs up looking for a submission but Pacool uses it to pass to side control.
McKee looks gassed! Pacool decides to stand back up. Pacool steps back and let's McKee get back to his feet. McKee doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pacool counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lemec Pacool has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey McKee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pacool tries to stand but McKee is controlling from the bottom. McKee has his foot on Pacool's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pacool works his way back into a safe position though. McKee is looking for a triangle but Pacool pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pacool decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Pacool drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pacool knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McKee on the ground. McKee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pacool's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. McKee is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lemec Pacool will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McKee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Pacool is not content to let McKee control the position. McKee tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McKee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pacool is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McKee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McKee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McKee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McKee is looking to take a break and control but Pacool is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McKee prevents Pacool from escaping the position. That's three minutes gone in the round. McKee trying to control the position but Pacool is working away. Pacool parries the strikes from McKee easily there. McKee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pacool to escape.
McKee works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McKee trying to control the action but Pacool is working from the bottom. McKee is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pacool looks calm but he's in trouble here. McKee gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pacool is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! McKee lets go of the hold and Pacool can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richards tries to clinch but Ang moves out of range. Ang closes the distance and pushes Richards back into the cage. Richards breaks the clinch.
Ang throws a right and a left that both miss. Richards tries to clinch but Ang moves out of range. Ang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Richards. Richards throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ang sees it coming and avoids it easily. Richards misses with a double jab.

No joy there for Ang, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Donk. Richards catches Ang right on the button with a cross. Richards is looking to clinch. Richards moves in looking to clinch but Ang pushes him off. Ang throws a series of punches but Richards moves out of range. Richards clinches with his opponent.

Richards breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ang tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Richards gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Richards moves in looking to clinch but Ang pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richards works the jab nicely. Richards is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ang misses the jab. Ang throws a right and a left that Richards avoids nicely. Ang clinches up with Richards and pushes him back against the cage. Ang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Richards has him pressed against the cage. Richards drags the fight down to the ground.
Ang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Richards works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ang trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ang lands a couple of digs. Ang stops Richards from standing up. Ang throws a strike but Richards rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ang keeping full guard, as Richards tries to pass. Richards decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ang, up you get! Ang ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ang moves into the clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Richards.
Ang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Richards has him pressed against the cage. Richards breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ang throws a leg kick that misses. A jab from Ang misses. Ang throws a combination that misses and Richards counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ang's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richards in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Richards wants to stand but Ang is controlling his posture from full guard. Ang is working an open guard so Richards takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rodney Ang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab lands there for Ang. Richards tries to clinch up but Ang circles away and keeps his distance. Ang misses with the combination.
Richards moves out of range as Ang strikes. Ang misses with a wild body shot. Richards looks to clinch and Ang counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Richards thinking. Ang looks gassed! Richards tries to close the distance and clinch but Ang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Richards drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ang is working an open guard so Richards takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Richards tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ang counters by moving into the clinch. Ang has had enough of the clinch but Richards keeps him there for the moment. A nice glancing elbow lands by Richards. Ang can't break the clinch.

Richards keeps control of Ang as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Richards pushes off an fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Richards crunches a lovely knee into Ang's ribcage. The is referee keeping an eye on Richards - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Richards throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Angs head. Richards unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ang lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Richards lands an elbow inside that Ang shrugs off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Ang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that's the end of the fight! Shane Richards showed his dominance in that final round. Well Richards has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Carlson follows Phoenix to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Tony Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stark throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Money shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stark but Stark pushes him off and we're back to square one. Some wild striking there from Stark.
Stark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Money closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Money throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Money wants to pass the guard but Stark is defending well. Money not doing much here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lil Sauce Money will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
