The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hare closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hare lands in his opponent's guard.
Hare is looking to stand up but Glitter won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hare distracts Glitter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glitter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hare gets to his feet. Glitter looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Hare throws the kick towards the body but Glitter avoids it.
Glitter tries to clinch but Hare is having none of it.
Hare throws a series of punches but Glitter avoids them all with ease.
Glitter is looking to clinch.
Hare tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Glitter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hare shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Glitter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Hare has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bloggs is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bloggs hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Norman Goreman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steel shoots in and bounces Goreman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Goreman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goreman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Goreman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goreman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Goreman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Steel slows the pace down in half guard.
Goreman tries to get to full guard but Steel has control of the leg.
Goreman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Still in half guard, Steel seems content to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Steel doesn't manage to clinch there - Goreman circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Goreman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steel.
Steel throws an overhand right that lands on Goreman's shoulder, as Goreman tries to avoid the shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dick Steel will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
